Congrats on making it through the first two BRS, and welcome to the Rec Round, where you can recommend BR Fills that have been created!

Rec Round 1 will close on July 20th at 11:59PM PT (23:59 PT).

This Round is CLOSED. But perpetually open to new fills.

 

Rules

A rec post must have at least one fill recommended, but can have as many as you want. There should be at least two sentences describing why your recc-ing the fill/why it’s awesome.

You don’t need permission to rec a work.

Don't rec your own work. You can recommend things created by your own team, but please spread the love to other teams too. You’re more than welcome to rec fills to your own prompts!

That being said, the fills that you rec do not have to have been written for your own prompts.

Minors will not be allowed to rec NSFW fills.

I love the colors of this piece – so vibrant, yet not so much that they’re distracting. The atmosphere is really clear, especially from the little details like the footprints in the sand or the warm glow on his body from the setting sun. I love the texture of the water and the way it ripples around his ankles too – beautiful job!

Why is this work awesome?:
There’s a lovely tension throughout this trio of fics that really climaxes here in relief and reunion. The tension built from the war and its atrocities spills over naturally between the characters, and it’s both emotionally and historically truthful. The breaking of the tension and the Hanukkah discussion at the end was really beautiful ("And the candles we light, they are the candles that were lit in that temple to reconsecrate that altar. This, it is not about just about miracles. It is about enduring.”), and a lovely ending – and beginning? – to their enduring life, reunited.

why is this work awesome?: ah, let me advertise my teammate :3c i really love the feel of this fic. it's really atmospheric and the descriptions are worded really nicely, each word crafting the creepy mood. there isn't much interaction between oikawa and iwaizumi or kageyama, but honestly there's no need for that because the snippet we see is very much telling and it's really amazing how many things em managed to convey in so few words

asdfghj it's such a sweet and sad look at Viktor pining for Yuuri and not quite knowing if his feelings are returned. There's such lovely detail in here--the flowers, the taiyaki--all surrounding these poignant moments of want and uncertainty. it's really really lovely and absolutely worth a read.

Why is this work awesome?: THE PROMPT ITSELF MADE ME CLUTCH MY CHEST IN PAIN AND THIS FILL WAS JUST EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO SOOTHE THAT PAIN. the idea of karasuno losing guts me and to see that tsukki was actually gutted by it too just makes me [clenches fist] tsukki admitting to himself that he wanted to win, wanted to care about this team and to care about volleyball is just absolutely everything i love. and to see kuroo's place in all that, since he had a large hand in helping tsukki develop those feelings, is so perfect. they are so good.
