Who, when, and where? Send your favorite sports animanga characters to any time and place you want—but the filler decides what they do there.

This Round is CLOSED, but is perpetually open to new Fills.

NSFW Prompts

EXPLICITLY NSFW PROMPTS must be posted to the After-Hours comm. To join, click here.

“Explicitly NSFW” means that the prompt includes outright sexual content (whether in a photograph, drawing, or in words), and prompts that in the additional requests are asking for explicit fills. Prompts are posted with the same HTML format, in the same manner as a SFW prompt, just under the designated post for that Bonus Round in the After-Hours comm. See ‘Filling’ for the procedures for NSFW Fills.

NSFW Fills

All NSFW fills MUST be posted in the corresponding Bonus Round post in the After Hours community. To join, click here.

After joining, you will be able to access the AfterHours BR1 post.

If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please DO NOT use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.

Scoring

The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!

For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)

For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:

  • First 5n fills: 20 points each
  • Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
  • Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
  • All fills after 15n: 2 points each

Confused? Don’t worry; math is hard. Check out the Bonus Round Point Widget to help you figure out the point scale for your team.

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Additional Information

If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post). We’ll also have a prompt/fill database up and running soon that will help you filter through BR posts.

A Tip: We all want SportsFest to be a fun and safe environment. If you notice someone has made a mistake in their required tagging, or any other html or rules related aspect of their comment, do let them know, message them privately rather than replying - if you reply, they can’t edit the comment! If you aren’t comfortable letting the commenter know directly, contact a mod and we will make sure they update the required tags.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact a mod.

“You know, you don’t have to pretend.”

This is how Oikawa starts all conversations — in medias res. There’s no hello Ushiwaka or how are you or isn’t the weather nice today? There are no pleasantries -- not that Oikawa would be dispensed to be overly courteous around Ushijima in the first place. Ushijima suspects that Oikawa has never been one for meaningless pleasantries in the first place.

Ushijima doesn’t know what Oikawa is talking about. “I am an actor. I pretend for a living,” he says, dry.

“Hah!” Oikawa stabs an accusatory finger against Ushijima’s chest, “So you admit it! You’re pretending to like me!”

Ushijima is constantly alarmed at the amount of mental bandwidth Oikawa has available at all times, and how much of it he occupies by thinking about nonsense. They’ve just gotten off stage, just finished a whirlwind final performance of a sold-out stage play, and yet Oikawa is fully prepared to jump into his next argument with Ushijima, no buffer required.

“I am not pretendingto like you,” Ushijima says, patient, “I genuinely enjoy your company.”

“Lies, all lies,” Oikawa punctuates each word with another stab against Ushijima’s chest, before turning away with a huff and heading toward his dressing room. Ushijima watches him go with a pronounced frown.

It’s unbearably stuffy backstage, humid and sticky as cast members crisscross the room to hug each other, offer congratulations, hastily strip down to their underwear just to be free of their sweaty costumes. Oikawa’s dressing room — which is, in reality, just a series of curtains hung up to give him a modicum of privacy — is instantly mobbed, everyone who’s aiming to be anyone trying to get their final five minutes with the star of the play.

Ushijima has his fair share of hangers-on as well, but he’s learned how to brush them off. Or, rather, his natural demeanor had kept them at bay. He just went with it.

In any case, that leaves Ushijima free to change in peace, using some makeup-removing wipes to get the sweat, foundation, and heavy eyeliner from his face. He’s still uncomfortable, itching for a shower, but he doesn’t feel right leaving for the night without Tooru.

“Look at him, still waiting for me like a puppy!” Oikawa leans out of his dressing area to point Ushijima out to one of his assistants, “Everyone already thinks you’re a nice guy, Ushiwaka, you can drop the act!”

For the past few weeks, Ushijima has been walking Oikawa back to his apartment, half out of convenience — they’re going the same way, anyway — and half out of a protective surge that flared up after Oikawa received a threat from a stalker.

Everyone just loves me too much, Oikawa had said, a bit too flippant considering the circumstances. But watching the way the moonlight haloed around the curls and waves of Oikawa’s hair, casting artful shadows across high cheekbones, Ushijima decided he could sympathize.

It had been fine at first. Cordial, even. But Oikawa could never shake the suspicion that Ushijima was gunning for him somehow, looking to sneak into his life, steal his secrets, tip over all his houseplants. And Ushijima couldn’t find the right way to deny that accusation. Because he did want something from Oikawa — he just wasn’t sure what.

It didn’t help that one night, after a show, Oikawa had snapped a selfie of the two of them, Ushijima relenting easily, rare smile on display. Since when were they so close??? one fan had commented. It bothered Oikawa, got under his skin somehow, that he didn’t have a proper explanation; that he himself couldn’t figure how how the years-long chill between them had thawed so easily, without any effort at all.

“I’ll leave if you want me to, Oikawa.”

Oikawa retreats behind his curtain, then pops his back out a second later, “You can stay,” he announces, but his tone is softer, less accusatory. He’s commanding Ushijima, but he’s also asking.

It’s pitch dark outside by the time Oikawa is ready to leave. Ushijima takes the time to go around and personally thank every member of the crew for their hard work.

“You make me look bad,” Oikawa pouts as Ushijima waves goodbye to one of the members of the lighting crew, “I’ll have to send everyone a fruit basket, now. Upstage you.”

Ushijima fights down the urge to roll his eyes. He knows for a fact that Oikawa had gone around to thank everyone before their final rehearsal. Oikawa remembered everything about everyone — who was allergic to which food, who had how many kids, who was moving, who had just broken up with their boyfriend. Ushijima wondered where Oikawa kept all that information, all that personability, if he kept it outside himself like a second skin. Ushijima wondered constantly if he was seeing the real Oikawa, or the façade. Maybe there was no difference between the two.

The walk home is quiet. Ushijima and Oikawa stand two fingers’ width apart, just close enough that their shoulders sometimes knock together when Oikawa steps to avoid cracks in the sidewalk.

When Oikawa’s building is in view, he turns abruptly to Ushijima, “Would you want to come up?”

And then, when Ushijima takes just a second too long to reply, “I’m not asking if you will, just if you want to. Like, if the opportunity arose. That’s a big ‘if’ you know!”

“Okay.”

“Okay, what?! Are you gonna answer or not?”

“Well,” the corner of Ushijima’s mouth ticks up, “Do you want me to come up?”

“I swear to—“

“I’m not saying I will,” Ushijima continues, “Just asking if you would like that. If the opportunity arose.”

“Unbelievable,” Oikawa deadpans, face pink from frustration, “You’re the worst Ushiwaka.”

As Ushijima expected, Oikawa turns sharply on his heel, marching up the steps of his townhouse, reaching for the front door.

And then, not as Ushijima expected, Oikawa tosses his head over his shoulder, looking back at Ushijima, “Well, are you coming or not?”

This entire time, Ushijima really had been pretending. Pretending to enjoy Oikawa’s company simply as a colleague, pretending not to savor the sight of him every morning and every evening, pretending that keeping him at a distance was enough when all he really wanted to do was plant himself firmly at Oikawa’s side and never leave.

Ushijima steps toward Oikawa, and decides he’s done pretending.
