For this year's last Bonus Round, we'll dive into alternative universes!

Rules

• Submit prompts by commenting an alternative universe or universe alteration of your choice.
  Alternate Universe is a broad trope that involves everything from placing the characters in wildly different settings to slightly adjusting key points of the canon story.
  Universe Alteration is a subtype of AU. Its meaning is similar to canon divergence i.e settings that are mostly like canon expect a few points are changed.
  Therefore an AU may be as specific as another piece of work (ie. Romeo and Juliet), or as vague as a theme (ie. fantasy) or an event (ie. AU where the characters were childhood friends).
  
• You may suggest what role the characters have in said universe or let it up to the filler's imagination.
  
  Examples:
  • AU where they're lost in space
    
  • Red Little Riding Hood AU
    
  • AU where Character A saved Character B's life
• Prompts can be in any language as long as you provide an English translation!
  
• Fill prompts by creating fanworks inspired by the setting.
  
• You cannot earn points by filling your teammate's prompts or your own! (That said, we won't stop you from doing so for fun!)
  
• You must use the prompt/fill headers below, and you cannot leave any line blank nor delete a line! If this is your first time participation please read over our Bonus Round Guidelines.

Format

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
  
• 400px by 400px (art)
  • Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
• 14 lines (poetry)
  
• Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
  
• Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)
  
• Fake Social Media - 4 images min
  
• If you’d like to use a different medium, please contact the mods if you have any questions about minimum requirements.

There is no max work cap.

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual member! It means, for instance: "The first 10 prompts by any team members grant 5 points each".

Eijun was impatiently tapping his foot on the carriage and his parents and grandfather had long since abandoned the idea of making him stop this action, no matter how annoying they found it to be. They were admittedly nervous themselves, marrying their only son off to a stranger, heir to the throne or not. It was an old promise made by his late grandmother with the late Queen to see their families united in matrimony and they had rightfully been flabbergasted when the official had come to inform them of the upcoming wedding. They had wanted to protest, but a promise was a promise, and the Royal Family had already made the adequate preparations and weren’t about to take no for an answer. With all the grace the countryside boy could master, he had defused the tense situation between his family and the Royal Guards by bowing to the official and accepting.

Confused as his family had been, they had still packed some clothes so that they could accompany him to the Capital. Eijun had made a move towards his closet when the Official had informed him that they had already prepared for him clothes fit for his new status as he had tactfully put it. So, Eijun had taken a bath, washing the dirt from his farm work off his body one last time, and put on the luxurious clothes that had been left out for him.

Then, all four of them had silently climbed into the carriage and sat as it took them to the Palace. A five hour trip without interruption. There was no time for that, apparently.

Finally, the carriage stopped. The door opened and Eijun was the first to get out of it to be greeted by the Official.

“You will be in the care of Wakana so that you don’t get lost. It would really be the worst scenario since the wedding is tomorrow and there’s still preparations needing to be made and no staff to spare for your research. I would gladly appreciate it if you didn’t disappear on us. Don’t worry, once you’re the Prince Consort, you’ll be free to wander around and familiarise yourself with the premises. But now, you will have dinner with the Crown Prince.”

Eijun threw a glance back at his family.

“Alone ?”

“Yes, per the Prince’s order. He assumed that you’d like getting to know your future husband as soon as possible and an intimate supper would be the best way to do that.”

Well, Eijun couldn’t say that this plan was not well thought out. However, the idea of being alone with a guy, moreover the Prince, who he was supposed to marry, was overwhelming him.

“Uh, what about the King ?”

“His Majesty the King is already busy with the preparations for tomorrow so you’ll have to excuse him for tonight. However, he would like you and your family to join him and his son the Prince for breakfast.”

“Oh, well, sure. I guess.”

“Wonderful. I’ll deliver the news to His Majesty. His Highness should be on his way to get you.”

Eijun frowned. What did he mean by get him ?

He had his answer in a matter of seconds as the doors to the Palace opened and a smartly dressed good-looking man with glasses and an infuriating grin walked to them with two Royal Guards at his sides.

“You must be my betrothed I assume ?”

“Uh, I think so yes. I am Sawamura Eijun…. Your Highness ?”

He glanced at the Official and got a nod for confirmation. The Prince’s grin grew wider.

“Ah, yes. I remember the name went something like that. Well, you won’t stay a Sawamura for long so I’ll take the liberty of calling you Eijun.”

It grated on his nerves, all of this confidence and condescendance.

“Then, I must call you by your first name too. Since we’ll soon be married anyway.”

Every single person around held their breath, the tension palpable as they waited for their future monarch’s reaction. After a moment, to the bewilderment of everyone, he laughed openly.

“You’re feisty ! I like it.”

And then, they watched, jaws dropped and eyes wide open, as the Prince kneeled in front of his intended, took his left hand and kissed its back.

“You may then call me Kazuya. Welcome to your new home, Eijun.”
