Rules

Submit prompts by commenting a title of your choice. It may be the name of a book, a song, a movie, a series, a game, a podcast, a youtube video, a news article, etc.
Subtitles can be prompted along the title.
The title must be from a public/published work, it cannot be the name of group chat for example. The title can not explicitly be taken from the name of a fanwork.
Please give credit to the author of the work whenever possible.

Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)
Fake Social Media - 4 images min

Kazuya’s team is playing against a powerhouse today.

He’s been looking forward to this all season - all year, if Kazuya really wants to get down to it. Whereas Kazuya chose the team that most needed a strong catcher, the opposing team was always looking for the strongest all-around prospects.

It should’ve come as no surprise that he’d find someone he recognized on the roster, but Kazuya didn’t see this coming in the slightest.

A number of thoughts cross Kazuya’s mind when he sees Sawamura on the field for the first time since high school.

The first of which, which isn’t so much a coherent thought as much as it is the only thought he can really put attention to at first is damn, he looks good in a professional uniform.

Following that are slightly more intelligent thoughts regarding Sawamura’s physique. He’s buffed up, since their time at Seidou together - Kazuya’s not sure he could call Sawamura a kid anymore, although he’ll opt to continue doing so in the meantime so as to not rupture any sort of balance he’d found between his former feelings for the pitcher and where he’s at now.

Thirdly is Sawamura’s confidence, which seems to have refined considerably since high school. Of course, he’d always been confident to a fault - but there’s a certain self-assuredness to the way that Sawamura carries himself, now, that makes Kazuya’s brain stop in its tracks. Just what did Sawamura learn, that year they had spent apart? Could Kazuya have fostered such a change within Sawamura, had they been in the same year? Was Kazuya… holding Sawamura back, at any point?

Kazuya’s grip tightens around the ball in his hands before throwing it back to the pitcher he’s busy warming up. The pitcher catches it, but not without wincing a bit.

Okay, so maybe what Kazuya’s been noticing about his teammate-turned opponent is getting to him today.

But that’s okay - Kazuya’s played mental games before. And no matter how Sawamura looks on the opposing team today, Kazuya can’t let him, or any feelings he might’ve had in the past get in the way of a victory.

Thank you for the memories, Sawamura Eijun. You’d laugh at me for saying this, but I’ll cherish them always.

For now, though, I’m going to run you into the dirt. It’s nothing personal.
