SF2020 - Bonus Round 1: Three Words

Three words can mean the world! Whether it is a sentence or disconnected terms, what will you choose to convey with limited words?

Rules

• Submit prompts by commenting any three words of your choosing! This can be a phrase or a list of words. Example:
  • I love you
    
  • Home, keys, together
    
  • Let them go
• Fill prompts by creating fanworks inspired by all three words, or only one or two! The choice is yours.
  
• Prompts can be in any language as long as you provide an English translation!
  
• You cannot earn points by filling your teammate's prompts or your own! (That said, we won't stop you from doing so for fun!)
  
• You must use the prompt/fill headers below, and you cannot leave any line blank nor delete a line! If this is your first time participation please read over our Bonus Round Guidelines.

Format

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
  
• 400px by 400px (art)
  • Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
• 14 lines (poetry)
  
• Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
  
• Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)
  
• Fake Social Media - 4 images min
  
• If you’d like to use a different medium, please contact the mods if you have any questions about minimum requirements.

There is no max work cap.

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual member! It means, for instance: "The first 10 prompts by any team members grant 5 points each".

There’s a lot to be said for sunrises.

They bring new beginnings, day after day, new adventures and knowledge.

Sanada Genichirou isn’t a man of sunrises.

Neither is he truly a man yet- at least, not physically- but his training ensures that he is well on the path to becoming one. And said training involves being up well before the rest of the world on more days than not, and as much as people romanticize the sunrise, it’s nothing but an annoyance to him.

He'd much rather the quiet of night, and the way the sun gets in his eyes and blinds him during his morning mediation is nothing short of infuriating. Especially when even his cap does nothing to shield him from the blazing ball of condensed gas.

No, Sanada Genichirou does not care for sunrises.

Neither in the glare of light, nor in the way it brings noise into his life, the hustle and bustle of yet another day starting.

Of course, Sanada himself contributes to that noise; it’s hard not to, with the tennis team he has- he has to keep them in line after all, and what better way than smacking them for being fools?

“Oww!” Marui whines as he rubs his head, chewing his gum obnoxiously before blowing a bubble, “I miss Yukimura-taichou… At least with him around you were nicer,” He grumbles.

Sanada doesn’t even raise his hand- he doesn’t need to, his glare is enough to quiet his playful teammate, who only huffs and goes to bother Jackal instead.

The truth is, Sanada misses their captain too.

Too bad he’ll never say it out loud though.

The sun is low in the sky by the time Sanada locks up the club room and pockets the key, taking a left instead of right as he exits through the school gates, heading to the station instead of walking home.

It’s become his new routine. Ever since…

With a frown, Sanada readjusts his cap and makes his way down the stairs and into the train after scanning his pass, movements quick and efficient.

And there he stands, twenty-three minutes later, looking up to one of the many towering buildings of the city, knowing exactly which window to stare at. It’s fruitless, he knows, for the room he’s looking at is too far away for him to even hope to catch a glimpse of the person inside.

He’s not the one who needs to see though. Sanada knows that the room’s inhabitant will see him, and that’s all that matters.

By the time he’s made it to the right floor and is stepping from the corridor and into the sterile room, the sun is setting through the window, changing the bleached-coloured room into a warm and welcoming space.

And amid the gentle glow, bathed in a fading light, sits Yukimura Seiichi, who turns and offers him a gentle smile and a quiet welcome.

There’s a lot to be said for sunrises and the noise they bring, but Sanada Genichirou much prefers sunsets and whispers as day bleeds into night in this particular hospital room.
