SF2020 - Bonus Round 1: Three Words
Three words can mean the world! Whether it is a sentence or disconnected terms, what will you choose to convey with limited words?
This bonus round will be open until Saturday, June 27th at 11:59pm (midnight) EDT. (Countdown)

The screening period is over! You're still able to post prompts and fills for this round but they won't count for points!
If you posted or edited a fill while comments were being screened, please use the comment unscreening form to let us know so we can unscreen it!
Rules
- Submit prompts by commenting any three words of your choosing! This can be a phrase or a list of words. Example:

Format
Required Work Minimums:- 400 words (prose)
- 400px by 400px (art)
- Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
- 14 lines (poetry)
- Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
- Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)
- Fake Social Media - 4 images min
- If you’d like to use a different medium, please contact the mods if you have any questions about minimum requirements.

Listen, I know they’re not on the list but you literally just told me you wanted some Akutsu/Dan and they could be used for all your tenipuri prompts so here you go. I have no idea. I just let Akutsu go wild and hoped for the best… Also I have never used the F-word so much in such a short amount of time I need to go wash my hands ( it’s in here FOURTEEN TIMES! fourteen. Fifteen if you include the title)

Akutsu has, frankly, no idea what the fuck he’s doing here.
Akutsu does not do crowds. Akutsu is an unsociable asshole who only smokes at the side of the school building because it’s isolated from the fuckin’ trash, rather than wanting to hide his nicotine addiction from any teachers.
And yet. Here Akutsu fucking well is. At a fucking festival of all things.
Ugh.
Now, you trash may be wondering what the fuck Akutsu is doing at a festival if he hates them so much.
Well-
“Akutsu-senpai! Look! These takoyaki look really nice!” Dan turns to him, neck craned awkwardly from the height difference, practically sparkling in his excitement.
It’s so fucking adorable Akutsu wants to punch something.
Dan has gone all the way, the whole she-bang, kimono and everything. The garment looking lovely on him, the soft silky material embroidered with a multitude of stars that blend into a galaxy.
If Akutsu hadn’t been an asshole and had maybe been a bit of a poet, he might have waxed poetics to Dan when they’d met up earlier that evening. But Akutsu is, in fact, an asshole and has made his Japanese literature teacher cry, so all he’d said was “Nice” and that had been the extent of his complimenting.
But Dan, lovely, tiny, adorable, endearing Dan Taichi, had looked like Akutsu had actually waxed awful poetics, and that made Akutsu feel a little less like an asshole.
Honestly, he has no idea what Dan sees in him, but the kid is fucking adorable, and Akutsu will absolutely fight anyone who says otherwise.
In fact. Speaking of fighting.
Some rando is looking at Dan, all interest and once-overs and Dan, lovely, innocent Dan, is none-the-wiser as he talks with the stall vendor, so of course, Akutsu, self-proclaimed king of assholes, must show his superiority over this bastard.
So he does; his glare morphs into a snarl as he steps closer to Dan, towering over his tiny form, and looking right over his head at the dude who thinks he has any chance of getting close to someone as pure and lovely as Dan.
The message is clear as day : back off. And it’s with a lot of delight that Akutsu watches the rando cower in fear before practically running away, tail between his legs. Akutsu lets out a quiet huff of satisfaction, glare wiped right off his face the moment Dan turns around and sparkles at him,
“Here you are, Akutsu-senpai!” He chirps, and man the kid is so fucking cute Akutsu wishes he’d actually gone for a punch or something - set an example you know, let everyone know what they had coming if they looked at Dan the wrong way.
“…Th’nks…” Akutsu mumbles, taking the offered takoyaki and taking a bite, not giving a shit if he looks like some wild beast -the crowd is starting to give the two of them a wide berth, which means Dan can see the stalls better, since he’s so tiny.
Dan grins at him again and starts eating his own food, a lot more delicate than his ill-mannered senpai.
They walk around like this a little longer, Akutsu grumbling because of the crowd but ultimately putting up with the torture for Dan who looks like he’s having a great time, and then Dan is gasping and Akutsu goes rigid, instincts rearing as he looks around, preparing for a fight.
But no fight comes, instead Dan turns to him and grabs his wrist and looks up at him with wide eyes that are so cute Akutsu wants to punch something and goes,
“The fireworks! Akutsu-senpai they’re starting soon! We have to find a good spot!”
And with that, Akutsu’s entire fucking goal in life shifts temporarily : he has to find a good spot for Dan to watch fireworks. Somewhere where there are no crowds so he can see easily, which has the added bonus of Akutsu no longer feeling like a cornered animal.
Goal in mind, Akutsu steps closer to Dan, takes his wrist instead, and starts pulling him away from the crowds as gently as Akutsu, self-declared king of assholes, can.
So there they are, three and a half minutes later, in an unfortunately not deserted but certainly way less crowded area, grass underfoot, facing the direction the fireworks will come from, and Dan is bouncing excitedly, babbling about what a good spot they found and how Akutsu-senpai did such a good job and Akutsu wishes he’d shut up but will also never admit how cute it is when Dan rambles like this, so all he does is offer a gruff,
“Whatever,” That Dan just accepts because he’s a nice kid like that.
A few seconds later and Akutsu’s gaze narrows.
Dan just shivered.
The fuck.
The kid should have brought a jacket or something! What if he caught a cold!? Fucking hell. The fucking tennis team will never let him hear the end of it if he lets their manager get sick.
“You cold?” Akutsu checks, eyeing him suspiciously, and Dan looks up at him and gives him this sheepish smile that doesn’t look right but still looks fucking adorable, and watches as the kid shrugs and nods slowly,
“A little…” He rubs at his cheek timidly, something Akutsu isn’t used to seeing, not when he’s around, “I didn’t think to bring a jacket. It’s fine though!” Dan is quick to reassure, and Akutsu glares,
“Tch, c’mere,” He orders, holding his jacket open.
Dan blinks at him before understanding dawns on his features and his cheeks colour an adorable pink. Akutsu narrows his eyes, preparing to rebuke whatever denial he has, but to his surprise, Dan steps close before turning around and pressing his back to Akutsu’s front.
Akutsu feels warm all over and curls over Dan a little, tensing as his protective instincts go haywire from the proximity. But then Dan sighs and relaxes and snuggles closer and Akutsu Jin will forever more deny the way he positively melts in return.
Not a fucking word of this will ever be spoken, but as the first firework whistles overhead and explodes with a bang and obscures the stars above, Akutsu lets his chin rest on Dan’s head as they watch the sky light up into beautiful colours, feeling warm all over.
