Fandom Nominations & Theme Suggestions

SportsFest 2020 Fandom Nominations are OPEN!
You can now submit your fandom nominations through our Google Form!

Our nomination guidelines can be found here.

Remember, fandoms only need to be nominated once per franchise! If you think your nomination might need a bit more justification to be accepted, you can submit an evidence post by commenting under this post!

Please make your evidence posts here before submitting your nomination through the google form. Evidence posts are optional, but will help us better evaluate any "edge case" nominations.

When writing your evidence post, please consider the following guiding questions:

• Does this show contain elements that are typical of the sports anime genre? e.g. rivalries, training arcs, competition arcs, team spirit?


• Would the characters in the show consider their activity a sport? Is it described as such? Does it have a consistent set of rules followed nationally or internationally?


• Does the entire series or subseries you are nominating fit this genre? Has it aired and/or been published?


• Is there a particular episode or manga chapter that you think showcases why this anime or manga should be included in the event? (If so, please let us know so we can check it out!)

Once you've submitted a nomination, your nomination will appear as pending on our nominations spreadsheet. You can check up on the status of your nomination there.

Do you have an idea for a Main Round Theme? Is there a Bonus Round Theme you'd like to see this year? Now's your chance to submit those ideas! All suggestions made before April 27th will be considered for this year's SportsFest!

Some tips for suggesting themes:

• Bonus Round Themes determine what kinds of prompts people can post and the format of those prompts! Past examples include "Quotes" (in which all prompts are quotes from an established media) and "3 words" (in which all prompts are composed of 3 words). Example
  
  
• Main Round Themes on the other hand do not imply format! They are meant to allow a wide range of interpretation and suit all kinds of fanworks! Past examples include Colors and Home.Example
