Bonus Round 4: Caps
Got a favorite scene from a manga, TV show, webcomic, movie, anime, etc.? Time to pull out your screencaps, manga caps, or comic caps to prompt something fun!
This bonus round will close on August 17th, 2018 11:59PM PT (23:59 PT). [COUNTDOWN]
This Round is CLOSED. It is perpetually open for new fills.
Rules
For this round, you may prompt any cap from any original video- or comic-based narrative. This includes anime, manga, cartoons, TV shows, movies, music videos, Western comics, webcomics, web series, and even documentaries. Narrative-related game screencaps are permitted. For example, you can post a cap of character dialogue, or a cap from a cutscene, but not a screenshot of a character wandering the in-game map or fighting a randomly-generated monster.
Upload the caps somewhere (such as Imgur, PostImage, or TinyPic) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
You may also use officially released art from qualifying sports animanga.
You can post up to three caps per prompt.
You are required to provide the name of your cap’s source media. For free online media like webcomics and webseries, we also encourage you to provide a link to the source material. If linking, please warn for content of the source, as applicable.
Please do not prompt caps from any fanworks. We want to respect fanworkers’ control over where their work is posted.
For video-based media, including subtitles in your cap is optional. That said, please do not include fake subtitles. (Please do not post GIFs)
We recommend linking to significant spoilers rather than directly posting them, as if you're posting a NSFW cap (replace the image code in the textarea with a link). However, this will not be enforced by the mod team and it is up to your discretion to decide what qualifies as a significant spoiler or not, considering that the caps are largely out of context.
Including descriptive text for caps is encouraged, but not required. If you do choose to include it, please include the text below the prompt image.
If you're not sure if a given media series cap qualifies, please feel free to ask!
General Rule Reminders
Remember that your header must ALWAYS include AT LEAST one fandom in the “fandom” section. Prompts that write “any” in the fandom section will not be counted for points.
All prompts must come from a nominated fandom.
Please be sure to fill out all lines of the header (even with “None” or “N/A,” so we can count your prompts/fill for points.) If you leave a line blank we don’t know if it was intentional or a mistake, and cannot count it for points.

NSFW Fills
All NSFW fills must be posted in the corresponding Bonus Round post in the After Hours community. If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please do not use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.

The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!
For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)
For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:
First 5n fills: 20 points each
Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
All fills after 15n: 2 points each

We’ve changed the expected workload for Bonus Round Fills! The new recommended workload is 12 fills per member for Gold, 8 fills per member for Silver, and 4 fills per member for Bronze. The scoring post has been updated to reflect this (and other changes made to scoring! We’ll be releasing a Halftime update post in the near future with all the changes made thanks to your feedback!)

The first cup of coffee tastes like sludge.
Atsumu coughs and sets it down on the saucer, a muttered curse cut off between his lips. From across the table, Suna is staring at him.
“Are you done?” he asks.
“Do I look like I’m done?”
“You look like you don’t like the coffee.”
Atsumu picks up the cup again. It’s a jade-green ceramic, roughly glazed, with a chip on the rim where he’d dropped it on the floor. They’d been fighting and he’d got carried away, waved a hand a little too violently and knocked it off the counter, and Osamu had rolled his eyes and stalked out of the kitchen and left Atsumu to pick up the broken cup.
“Leave me alone,” Atsumu says to Suna. “You’re not even really here. I’m not even really here.”
Suna smiles so that his teeth are showing for a moment, an image Atsumu would as soon forget he ever saw, and he slides the saucer over. “Drink up,” he says, and then he’s gone.

The fifth cup of coffee tastes like raspberries.
“Sour,” Atsumu murmurs, to no one in particular. He is alone at his usual booth in the diner. Through the dusty glass, he can see the sunset, clouds the colour of tea and rust. The fading light blossoms like a watercolour painting, a splotch that someone made by accident and left to flourish in its own messy way.
“Do you think he’ll come today?”
Atsumu groans softly and rests his head on his forearms. “I don’t know, Kita-san,” he mumbles. “Why are you here?”
Kita collects all of Atsumu’s empty cups and stacks them to one side. A porcelain-white one that came from a cheap hotel, a shotglass that still contains the last dregs of a sweet affogato, a wineglass that was never meant to hold wine.
He folds his hands together, lets the silence drag out a little too long before he asks, “Do you think he’ll come if you wait long enough?”
Atsumu clenches one fist closed and imagines he is waking up.
The neon lights outside the diner blink. In the empty space where the wineglass was, another cup of coffee appears. Kita picks it up and sniffs at it, but Atsumu already knows what it is.
“I think this is for you,” says Kita. “It smells like pudding.”

The twelfth cup of coffee tastes like melting snow.
Atsumu swallows it, feels the back of his throat go numb, and turns to look out the window. The last time he was here, it had been the height of summer, too hot to do anything but drink up and drift off into a nap, but now there is a scarf round his neck and he’s wearing a light grey sweater that isn’t his.
It is warm indoors, or maybe it’s just the sweater. Atsumu stretches his arms overhead, yawns and picks at a frayed thread on his sleeve, absently at first, then with mounting annoyance. It’s tickling his wrist and it won’t snap off cleanly.
How like Osamu. A voice like an echo, but when he looks up, there’s no one sitting across from him. The diner is empty today. How like Osamu, to wind himself round his finger like a thread he cannot break; how like Osamu, to linger in the aftertaste of twelve different cups of coffee and to be all twelve flavours at once.
Atsumu stands up. Slowly, he makes his way to the door, takes a deep breath and opens it. Behind him, he hears the clinking of a teaspoon and the soft hiss of a coffee machine. He knows there will be another cup on the table if he looks back.
He does not look back.
Overhead, a bell rings. There is a blanket of white at Atsumu’s feet and a figure down the road, walking away. He steps out over the threshold. The snow is melting in the pit of his stomach. He does not look back, but if he did, he would have seen the diner disappear into the winter, little patches of sunlight and daisies springing up where his footsteps were.
