Bonus Round 4: Caps
Bonus Round 4: Caps
Got a favorite scene from a manga, TV show, webcomic, movie, anime, etc.? Time to pull out your screencaps, manga caps, or comic caps to prompt something fun!
This bonus round will close on August 17th, 2018 11:59PM PT (23:59 PT). [COUNTDOWN]
This Round is CLOSED. It is perpetually open for new fills.
Rules
For this round, you may prompt any cap from any original video- or comic-based narrative. This includes anime, manga, cartoons, TV shows, movies, music videos, Western comics, webcomics, web series, and even documentaries. Narrative-related game screencaps are permitted. For example, you can post a cap of character dialogue, or a cap from a cutscene, but not a screenshot of a character wandering the in-game map or fighting a randomly-generated monster.
Upload the caps somewhere (such as Imgur, PostImage, or TinyPic) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
You may also use officially released art from qualifying sports animanga.
You can post up to three caps per prompt.
You are required to provide the name of your cap’s source media. For free online media like webcomics and webseries, we also encourage you to provide a link to the source material. If linking, please warn for content of the source, as applicable.
Please do not prompt caps from any fanworks. We want to respect fanworkers’ control over where their work is posted.
For video-based media, including subtitles in your cap is optional. That said, please do not include fake subtitles. (Please do not post GIFs)
We recommend linking to significant spoilers rather than directly posting them, as if you're posting a NSFW cap (replace the image code in the textarea with a link). However, this will not be enforced by the mod team and it is up to your discretion to decide what qualifies as a significant spoiler or not, considering that the caps are largely out of context.
Including descriptive text for caps is encouraged, but not required. If you do choose to include it, please include the text below the prompt image.
If you're not sure if a given media series cap qualifies, please feel free to ask!
General Rule Reminders
Remember that your header must ALWAYS include AT LEAST one fandom in the “fandom” section. Prompts that write “any” in the fandom section will not be counted for points.
All prompts must come from a nominated fandom.
Please be sure to fill out all lines of the header (even with “None” or “N/A,” so we can count your prompts/fill for points.) If you leave a line blank we don’t know if it was intentional or a mistake, and cannot count it for points.
A Few Example Prompts:
Description: A young woman (our pink-haired protagonist) hits a man dressed in a chupacabra costume with her bag, while her friend looks on in shock.
Source: Sakura Quest
Ransom: What’s your type?
Bitty: Men.
Source: Check, Please by Ngozi
Chris: My anxiety has kept me up for over 50 hours.
Source: Parks and Recreation
Description: Hatsune Miku in a bathtub full of cash with KAITO wading through coins in the background.

If Prompting
Please use the following subject line for prompt:
Prompt: [Your Team]
Replace [Your Team] with the name of the team you belong to. Nicknames or Official Names are both acceptable
Copy/Paste the following into the body of your comment. Delete all instructional text in parentheses.
NSFW Prompts
EXPLICITLY NSFW PROMPTS must be posted to the after-hours comm. “Explicitly NSFW” means that the prompt includes outright sexual content (whether in a photograph, drawing, or in words), and prompts that in the additional requests are asking for explicit fills. Prompts are posted with the same HTML format, in the same manner as a SFW prompt, just under the designated post for that Bonus Round in the after-hours comm. See ‘Filling’ for the procedures for NSFW Fills.
Once you have joined the Afterhours community, you can find the corresponding post HERE.
If Filling
Minimums
Required Work Minimums:
400 words (prose)
400px by 400px (art)
Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
14 lines (poetry)

Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)
If you’d like to use a different medium, please contact the mods if you have any questions about minimum requirements.
There is no max work cap.
Format
FILL: [Your Team], [Rating]
Replace [Your Team] with the name of the team you belong to. Nicknames and Official Names are both acceptable
Replace [Rating] with the rating of your fill (G-E).
Copy/Paste the following into the body of your comment. Delete all instructional text in parentheses.
NSFW Fills
All NSFW fills must be posted in the corresponding Bonus Round post in the After Hours community. If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please do not use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.
Once you have joined the Afterhours community, you can find the corresponding post HERE.
The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!
For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)
For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:
First 5n fills: 20 points each
Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
All fills after 15n: 2 points each
Confused? Don’t worry; math is hard. Check out the Bonus Round Point Widget to help you figure out the point scale for your team.
We’ve changed the expected workload for Bonus Round Fills! The new recommended workload is 12 fills per member for Gold, 8 fills per member for Silver, and 4 fills per member for Bronze. The scoring post has been updated to reflect this (and other changes made to scoring! We’ll be releasing a Halftime update post in the near future with all the changes made thanks to your feedback!)
All scored content must be created new for this round.
Additional Information
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post).
If the images have been resized too small for you to view, right-click the image (or tap and hold) and select Open Image to view it at full size.
Icie’s fantastic SportsFest Prompt/Fill database can also help you sort through prompts (and fills!)
If you’d like more information, you can look at the BR GUIDELINES.
You can also post your Fills to the Official AO3 Collection.
A Tip: We all want SportsFest to be a fun and safe environment. If you notice someone has made a mistake in their required tagging, or any other html or rules related aspect of their comment, do let them know, message them privately rather than replying - if you reply, they can’t edit the comment! If you aren’t comfortable letting the commenter know directly, contact a mod and we will make sure they update the required tags.
If you have any other concerns about Bonus Round Prompts/Fills, you can use this anonymous form to bring them to the mod team. You can submit Bonus Round concerns using this Google Form.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask a mod.

Yamaguchi has seen a lot through the years. Because of his soft-spoken nature and his eyes that gently and fairly judge someone, people always assume he's not into any shady business, and that whenever he claims the contrary, he must be talking about a good friend of his. It used to frustrate him a lot—why would he lie about something so important and crucial? Why would he lie about exposing himself to every day danger? It's not like anybody can come and go as they wish unscathed. He's seen colleagues, comrades, enemies, fall and tracked for the smallest detail. He's seen people driven out for selfish reasons.
He adjusts the goggles on his face, wipes a smear on the lens, and gets back to work. He's still trying to find the best materials to make this bike his masterpiece, one that won't break at the slightest touch or trail behind it a series of misfortune. He's built countless bikes in the past, all different and same, but this one carries meaning and feelings he can't quite reveal yet, or ever, to this dark world he's become accustomed to.
“Still working? We told you it was perfect.”
Yamaguchi turns around and meets Yachi's beautiful smile, eyes crinkling with a fondness he's fallen in love with over and over. His own lips tug upwards, as he reaches for his goggles and places them on his forehead.
“I don't want you to get hurt,” he explains. “Besides, I wanted to check one last time. Tomorrow's race is important, after all.”
“We've been fine for the past four or five months!”
She stands closer to the bike, quickly glances at it, placing a hand on the seat.
“Kageyama-kun will start, I'll ride the second half.”
“Oh. That's unusual.”
“He said the second half is all bumpy and curved, more suited to my driving. The first half is definitely a speed contest.”
She says it with mirth, never mocking, on a tone that's just teasing wrapped with care, as she hums to herself a song they've listened to together whenever they are discussing new challenges. It's comforting, in a way, to see such a girl trying her best and not backing down despite the many fears that grip her mind. Yamaguchi has always loved that about her.
Kageyama walks into the garage with a big yawn, and Yamaguchi notices he hasn't changed out of his sportswear since early afternoon, which means he hasn't eaten dinner yet despite the late hour.
“You should take better care of yourself, especially just before a race,” Yamaguchi gently scolds.
“Mhh. Felt too good.”
Kageyama is probably the only person Yamaguchi knows who will say that doing sports for hours feels too good to stop. He sighs, but his smile is still there.
“Well, go get some rest. Yachi-san, please make sure he doesn't do anything stupid.”
“Of course!”
“I'm still here, you know.”
Yamaguchi laughs, then shoos them away. Yachi pushes a disgruntled Kageyama towards the door, and they both cast one last look at him, before waving and leaving.
He doesn't ride bikes for races, but every time he watches them get on them and travel distances at incredible speed, he can feel the wind hitting his face and brushing the bike's frame, nudging him in one direction or another. Excitement and thirst for victory are glinting in their eyes, and that's enough for him to keep improving, to keep making adrenaline course through them, again and again.
Re: FILL: Team KinKage, T
Yamaguchi's kind off observer status and subtle feelings insight worked well on me ;;
