Bonus Round 4: Caps
Got a favorite scene from a manga, TV show, webcomic, movie, anime, etc.? Time to pull out your screencaps, manga caps, or comic caps to prompt something fun!
This bonus round will close on August 17th, 2018 11:59PM PT (23:59 PT). [COUNTDOWN]
This Round is CLOSED. It is perpetually open for new fills.
Rules
For this round, you may prompt any cap from any original video- or comic-based narrative. This includes anime, manga, cartoons, TV shows, movies, music videos, Western comics, webcomics, web series, and even documentaries. Narrative-related game screencaps are permitted. For example, you can post a cap of character dialogue, or a cap from a cutscene, but not a screenshot of a character wandering the in-game map or fighting a randomly-generated monster.
Upload the caps somewhere (such as Imgur, PostImage, or TinyPic) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
You may also use officially released art from qualifying sports animanga.
You can post up to three caps per prompt.
You are required to provide the name of your cap’s source media. For free online media like webcomics and webseries, we also encourage you to provide a link to the source material. If linking, please warn for content of the source, as applicable.
Please do not prompt caps from any fanworks. We want to respect fanworkers’ control over where their work is posted.
For video-based media, including subtitles in your cap is optional. That said, please do not include fake subtitles. (Please do not post GIFs)
We recommend linking to significant spoilers rather than directly posting them, as if you're posting a NSFW cap (replace the image code in the textarea with a link). However, this will not be enforced by the mod team and it is up to your discretion to decide what qualifies as a significant spoiler or not, considering that the caps are largely out of context.
Including descriptive text for caps is encouraged, but not required. If you do choose to include it, please include the text below the prompt image.
If you're not sure if a given media series cap qualifies, please feel free to ask!
General Rule Reminders
Remember that your header must ALWAYS include AT LEAST one fandom in the “fandom” section. Prompts that write “any” in the fandom section will not be counted for points.
All prompts must come from a nominated fandom.
Please be sure to fill out all lines of the header (even with “None” or “N/A,” so we can count your prompts/fill for points.) If you leave a line blank we don’t know if it was intentional or a mistake, and cannot count it for points.

If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please do not use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.

The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!

We’ve changed the expected workload for Bonus Round Fills! The new recommended workload is 12 fills per member for Gold, 8 fills per member for Silver, and 4 fills per member for Bronze. It was funny how fast the future snuck up on you. One minute, you were swinging your bat in the spring national tournament, and the next you were retiring one step from the biggest prize of all. It would have been nice to win that last game, especially having made it that far, but they couldn’t complain. They’d improved so much over the two and a half years they’d been at Seidou, and they’d manage to take Kataoka to koshien twice. That was an accomplishment.
It stung though, and it kept stinging as fall turned into winter and they had to train on their own with a small group of third years that had decided to keep playing baseball after high school. This generally meant just Miyuki and Kuramochi, since they were together even more now that they were roommates as well as classmates and maybe something a little more. They hadn’t really talked about it, or labelled it in anyway, but there was stray kisses when no one was looking, sitting way too close when they studied, cuddling when they needed comfort. They just were and it worked for both of them.
But the future and graduation was creeping up on them, and they both knew they were going to have to have the talk. Miyuki had been drafted by the Hawks in Fukuoka, way across the country from either of their homes. Kuramochi had seen the pain in his eyes as he signed the contract, the despair and knew exactly what he was thinking. He’d been reading the idiot catcher for so long he could practically hear his thoughts with his eyes closed.
He was scared of the future, of the inevitable separation. He’d built something at Seidou, a new kind of life he didn’t think he was worthy of, with people surrounding him, people that actually liked him, despite his personality flaws. And once he had it, had friends, he decided he liked it much better than being alone all the time. Which was where the fear came from, and the despair.
There were moments when these things bled through in their interactions. His kiss was just a little more desperate, his hands a little more clingy. Not that Kuramochi minded, he enjoyed the increased ardor and the fact that he cared less about hiding their relationship. They got more looks, especially when Miyuki took to touching less than casually even in class, but these were easy to ignore.
The only major problem they had was their stubborn refusal to acknowledge the future, which sped towards them at the speed of light. Kuramochi didn’t want to say anything until it was official, which turned out to be a little cruel, because the closer they got, the more Miyuki died inside. He started pulling away in late January, just as exam results were announced and college acceptances went out. It was like he thought since he had to let go, it was better to start now.
Well, Kuramochi was not about to let that happen. He didn’t know why Miyuki couldn’t see the relationship, the feelings they never talked about, went both ways. That just like Miyuki couldn’t imagine a future without him (and Kuramochi knew this was true), he couldn’t picture a future without Miyuki.
Thus, one evening, after all the first and second years had gone inside, leaving the baseball fields empty, Kuramochi decided it was time to have the conversation. There were plans to make now and it made him smile to think of their next adventure. “I’ve decided where I’m going to school.”
Miyuki tensed beside him, arms crossing over his chest as he leaned against the fence behind them. “Which of the Big Six?”
“None of them,” Kuramochi replied casually, staring up at the sky. “I’m going to Kyushu University.”
Whipping his head towards him, Miyuki stared, eyes wide. “Mochi… You…”
“That’s in Fukuoka, in case you hadn’t realized,” Kuramochi continued with a grin. “They even gave me scholarships and the coach of the baseball club contacted me.”
“Youichi…” Miyuki breathed, and Kuramochi was suddenly sure he could the other boy’s heart in his eyes. “You… Like the city that much?”
"Yeah. I want to live there. I want to play baseball, eat tonkotsu ramen, and talk about idiotic things with idiots." Kuramochi huffed, stepping forward into Miyuki’s space so he could loop his arms around his waist. “Just in case it isn’t clear, you’re the idiot in this scenario.”
Miyuki inhaled deeply and leaned forward, nibbling at Kuramochi’s lips and driving him just a little crazy before kissing him properly. “…might love you,” he muttered, the words muffled by their proximity to Kuramochi’s mouth.
“Definitely love you, idiot,” Kuramochi replied, inducing him into a kiss that would have had half the team blushing.
