Bonus Round 4: Caps
Got a favorite scene from a manga, TV show, webcomic, movie, anime, etc.? Time to pull out your screencaps, manga caps, or comic caps to prompt something fun!
This bonus round will close on August 17th, 2018 11:59PM PT (23:59 PT). [COUNTDOWN]
This Round is CLOSED. It is perpetually open for new fills.
Rules
For this round, you may prompt any cap from any original video- or comic-based narrative. This includes anime, manga, cartoons, TV shows, movies, music videos, Western comics, webcomics, web series, and even documentaries. Narrative-related game screencaps are permitted. For example, you can post a cap of character dialogue, or a cap from a cutscene, but not a screenshot of a character wandering the in-game map or fighting a randomly-generated monster.
Upload the caps somewhere (such as Imgur, PostImage, or TinyPic) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
You may also use officially released art from qualifying sports animanga.
You can post up to three caps per prompt.
You are required to provide the name of your cap’s source media. For free online media like webcomics and webseries, we also encourage you to provide a link to the source material. If linking, please warn for content of the source, as applicable.
Please do not prompt caps from any fanworks. We want to respect fanworkers’ control over where their work is posted.
For video-based media, including subtitles in your cap is optional. That said, please do not include fake subtitles. (Please do not post GIFs)
We recommend linking to significant spoilers rather than directly posting them, as if you're posting a NSFW cap (replace the image code in the textarea with a link). However, this will not be enforced by the mod team and it is up to your discretion to decide what qualifies as a significant spoiler or not, considering that the caps are largely out of context.
Including descriptive text for caps is encouraged, but not required. If you do choose to include it, please include the text below the prompt image.
If you're not sure if a given media series cap qualifies, please feel free to ask!
General Rule Reminders
Remember that your header must ALWAYS include AT LEAST one fandom in the “fandom” section. Prompts that write “any” in the fandom section will not be counted for points.
All prompts must come from a nominated fandom.
Please be sure to fill out all lines of the header (even with “None” or “N/A,” so we can count your prompts/fill for points.) If you leave a line blank we don’t know if it was intentional or a mistake, and cannot count it for points.

NSFW Fills
All NSFW fills must be posted in the corresponding Bonus Round post in the After Hours community. If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please do not use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.

The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!
For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)
For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:
First 5n fills: 20 points each
Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
All fills after 15n: 2 points each

We’ve changed the expected workload for Bonus Round Fills! The new recommended workload is 12 fills per member for Gold, 8 fills per member for Silver, and 4 fills per member for Bronze. The scoring post has been updated to reflect this (and other changes made to scoring! We’ll be releasing a Halftime update post in the near future with all the changes made thanks to your feedback!)

Furuya gazed out of the windows of the mess hall at Seidou and sighed heavily. It was raining buckets outside, and it was Sunday. It was his one free day to trek to the nearby arctic aquarium and watch the animals. The penguins and the polar bears were his favorites.
However, the weather had other plans, so he supposed he had to resign himself to running or studying. Well, probably not studying. He didn’t mind the rain, but it was a bit too insistent for his taste. The best rainy days were meant to be spent indoors.
Groaning, Furuya drifted out of the mess hall after lunch ended and wandered toward the dorms. He didn’t hear the splash of soggy footprints behind him until something warm and solid bumps against his shoulder. When the warm and solid something laughed, Furuya didn’t need to look to know who was stalking him.
“You’re too close,” he grumbled.
Sawamura cackled yet again and blurted, “Where are ya going, Furuya?” With a click, an umbrella surged open above them. “You usually go to the aquarium on Sundays. Are you going to pick up your umbrella?”
Furuya shook his head. “I lost mine. I’m going back to my room to read.”
Grinning in a way that may or may not have given Furuya the chills, Sawamura poked his thumb at his own chest and said, “Never fear, Furuya. Sawamura Eijun has you covered.” Scooting closer to Furuya, he finished, “I’ll go with you and bring mine. Besides, I love the rain!”
He was about to refuse, as the aquarium was usually his quiet time where he could look at animals and be at peace, but the excitement on Sawamura’s face was almost impossible to say no to. Knowing it would be harder to argue than to go along with it, Furuya relented. “Okay.”
So the two of them briskly moved through the soggy streets, with Sawamura chattering the entire way about anything he perceived to be related to aquatic animals. Some were stories about fishing in mountain streams in Nagano, and others were mini rants about the effects of climate change that Furuya was pretty sure were only about half correct scientifically.
The idea of a peaceful trip seemed out of the question, but when they arrived at the aquarium, Sawamura’s entire demeanor changed. He read every placard on every tank and pen, only speaking to declare one of the animals was too cool to be real.
After a half hour of it, Furuya was actually beginning to enjoy his unexpected companion’s joy at seeing the same displays Furuya saw every week. He wished more than once that he could go back and experience all of it again for the first time, to feel that sense of wonder at the sights instead of the ease of familiarity with them.
Two hours pass before they meandered out of the aquarium, with the regular weekend staff greeting Furuya by name as they left. Sawamura babbled on about his favorite parts of the visit while Furuya held the umbrella.
However, the chatter died down a few minutes into their walk. The rain had picked up while they were inside, and the umbrella afforded little protection from its almost sideways trajectory, punctuated by brisk wind. Sawamura shivered when a particularly strong gust barreled through the street.
Watching Sawamura wring water out of the hem of his shirt, Furuya remarked, “I thought you liked the rain.”
Sawamura smiled sheepishly. “I do, but it’s a little inconvenient when you’re out in it.” He shrugged and laughed. “But what’s a little bit of rain if I get to spend the day with good company?”
Furuya felt his face warm at the comment, and it was Entirely Necessary when he edged closer to Sawamura to shield them both a little better from the elements.
They were at the school gates when Furuya said, “Thank you. I’m glad we got to go today.”
“You and me both, Furuya.” Sawamura clapped Furuya on the shoulder a little harder than necessary and repeated, “You and me both.”
Heading back to his room in mild discomfort due to his sodden clothes, Furuya paid it no mind as he walked in no particular hurry. He thought that he actually didn’t mind terribly being out in the rain, after all.
Another wave of wind whistled through the space between the school outbuildings, and Furuya picked up his pace, recalling the reasons he preferred to observe the rain from the safety of the indoors. Yet he wouldn’t trade the day’s trip for anything.
Not that he would ever tell Sawamura, but his favorite way to while away his Sunday was definitely just a little bit better when shared.
