Bonus Round 4: Caps
Got a favorite scene from a manga, TV show, webcomic, movie, anime, etc.? Time to pull out your screencaps, manga caps, or comic caps to prompt something fun!
This bonus round will close on August 17th, 2018 11:59PM PT (23:59 PT). [COUNTDOWN]
This Round is CLOSED. It is perpetually open for new fills.
Rules
For this round, you may prompt any cap from any original video- or comic-based narrative. This includes anime, manga, cartoons, TV shows, movies, music videos, Western comics, webcomics, web series, and even documentaries. Narrative-related game screencaps are permitted. For example, you can post a cap of character dialogue, or a cap from a cutscene, but not a screenshot of a character wandering the in-game map or fighting a randomly-generated monster.
Upload the caps somewhere (such as Imgur, PostImage, or TinyPic) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
You may also use officially released art from qualifying sports animanga.
You can post up to three caps per prompt.
You are required to provide the name of your cap’s source media. For free online media like webcomics and webseries, we also encourage you to provide a link to the source material. If linking, please warn for content of the source, as applicable.
Please do not prompt caps from any fanworks. We want to respect fanworkers’ control over where their work is posted.
For video-based media, including subtitles in your cap is optional. That said, please do not include fake subtitles. (Please do not post GIFs)
We recommend linking to significant spoilers rather than directly posting them, as if you're posting a NSFW cap (replace the image code in the textarea with a link). However, this will not be enforced by the mod team and it is up to your discretion to decide what qualifies as a significant spoiler or not, considering that the caps are largely out of context.
Including descriptive text for caps is encouraged, but not required. If you do choose to include it, please include the text below the prompt image.
If you're not sure if a given media series cap qualifies, please feel free to ask!
General Rule Reminders
Remember that your header must ALWAYS include AT LEAST one fandom in the “fandom” section. Prompts that write “any” in the fandom section will not be counted for points.
All prompts must come from a nominated fandom.
Please be sure to fill out all lines of the header (even with “None” or “N/A,” so we can count your prompts/fill for points.) If you leave a line blank we don’t know if it was intentional or a mistake, and cannot count it for points.

NSFW Fills
All NSFW fills must be posted in the corresponding Bonus Round post in the After Hours community. If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please do not use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.

The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!
For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)

Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
All fills after 15n: 2 points each

We’ve changed the expected workload for Bonus Round Fills! The new recommended workload is 12 fills per member for Gold, 8 fills per member for Silver, and 4 fills per member for Bronze. The scoring post has been updated to reflect this (and other changes made to scoring! We’ll be releasing a Halftime update post in the near future with all the changes made thanks to your feedback!)

Three centuries later, he still presses his haori by hand, smooths out all the creases and cleans the tea stains, mends every little fray and rip with his own needle and thread. In the seventh month, he puts it on and makes a journey eastward to the 76th District of Rukongai.
“They call it Sakahone,” he said to Aran, once, and Aran had remarked that he couldn’t imagine someone like Shinsuke growing up in the slums, that if not for his annual pilgrimage he would have guessed Shinsuke came from one of those families in Seireitei with a long, noble heritage.
Shinsuke showed him the scars on his fingertips, said that scions of noble families do not prick themselves on needles quite so much. Those old scars are tingling again as he crosses the boundary between zones, makes his way down an alley that smells of dried fish and ashes. Somewhere, a fire’s just gone out; somewhere else, it’s still smouldering. It’s too quiet.
He does not reach for his sword, not right away, not even when a man with a dagger skulks out from behind a broken lamppost and looks Shinsuke up and down, and he hears footsteps from behind. An orchestrated ambush.
“Captain Kita Shinsuke,” drawls the street thug, as he approaches Shinsuke. “So it’s true. You always come back for your granny’s birthday. How sentimental.”
“What do you want?” Shinsuke asks.
The thug crosses his arms and eyes him speculatively. “What do you think? Even the sandals on your feet are worth a fortune. Not to mention your haori.”
“Do you really think it wise to try and rob me?” Shinsuke says, hand going to the blade on his right hip, not because he is afraid but because he can feel it vibrating. When he draws it, he holds it one-handed and lets it glow angrily for a moment, lighting up the alleyway.
“Atsumu, calm down,” Shinsuke murmurs. The sword thrums again, subsides with a subdued hum.
“No. It would be suicide to try and rob you.” The thug grins. The shadows behind Shinsuke loom closer. “But your granny is a much easier target.”
Let me out—let me—
And Shinsuke, in a single breath, does; he drops his left hand to his hip, unsheathes his other sword and moves like the wind, a prayer on his lips as the curved blade rises to meet its other half. Where Atsumu is barbed impatience brimming with heat, Osamu burns with something deeper, harder to smother.
Shinsuke drops into a defensive stance and looks the thug straight in the eye. There is wildness there, there is sorrow, there is desperation. Sakahone, they call this place where he grew up. Reverse bone. Flesh and blood turned inside out, a place where the old gods still hold sway.
“I know how cruel this district can be,” says Shinsuke. “I do not fight you out of hate. I am sorry.”
The twin zanpakutou in his hands flare up, cold ice-grey flame against golden sparks, and Shinsuke does what he has to do.

Later, he takes his time walking home. He takes the long road, passing through forest, stopping at a shrine to light an offering.
It is sundown when he stops in front of a well-kept little house with a charm shaped like a fox’s tail hanging over the threshold, and he pushes the door open, careful to avoid the splinters where they’re breaking off.
“Obaa-chan,” he calls, quietly.
His grandmother, seated at the table, looks up and smiles. “Shin-chan, okaeri. Did you have a peaceful journey?”
“More or less,” says Shinsuke, and sits in seiza opposite her. He picks up the cup of tea waiting for him and takes a sip. There is a bloodstain on his clean haori and a contented hum on one of his blades that sounds like a childhood lullaby.
