Welcome to the remix round! In this round, you’ll make remixes of other participants’ work!

Common remixes are podfics, fanfiction based on art, extended/divergent/different POV fics, and art, but feel free to make whatever creative remix you’d like!

This Round is officially CLOSED, but it is perpetually open for new fills.

The remix round open on June 16th, 2018 (12AM PT) and will close on August 28th, 2018 (11:59PM PT). (Almost the entire duration of the event!)

Rules

Choose a fanwork created in a Bonus Round of SportsFest 2018 and make a remix of it!
You cannot remix your teammates' works. You cannot remix your own works. You can remix fills that were created for your own prompts.
Since all fills are based on previous works, there will be no prompts for this round. Simply post your fill as a comment on this post.
You MUST have the creator’s permission to remix their fills. Check out the remix permissions post HERE.
It’s also polite to message the original creator that you’ve remixed their fill.

400px by 400px (art)
- Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
14 lines (poetry)
Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)

There is no max work cap.

After joining, you will be able to access the AfterHours Remix Round Post.

You may make NSFW remixes of a minor’s fill, but they MUST be posted on the AfterHours comm, and the minor will NOT be given access to read it. The minor must also give EXPLICIT permission that NSFW remixes of their fills are allowed (either by giving blanket permission, or by specifying it).

Scoring

20 points per fill for first (8n) fills (where n is the number of members on your team)

10 points for any additional fills

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Additional Information

A Tip: We all want SportsFest to be a fun and safe environment. If you notice someone has made a mistake in their required tagging, or any other html or rules related aspect of their comment, do let them know, message them privately rather than replying - if you reply, they can’t edit the comment! If you aren’t comfortable letting the commenter know directly, contact a mod and we will make sure they update the required tags.

Chris wasn’t sure how Jun did it every week, how he took time out of his busy schedule to visit the children’s hospital to read to sick kids. Most weeks, he knew the other boy was nearly falling over from exhaustion, having worked himself extra hard on the other days to make up for time lost on Sunday. But it didn’t matter what happened, what the weather was like or what homework was due, he always made time for the kids.

But then, that’s just how Jun was. He talked a big game, shouted and growled at kohai and peers alike, but he was the first one there if someone needed a hand. It didn’t even matter what the thing was – it could be really annoying and terrible, it could cut into time he needed for his own stuff greatly, and he would still be there. He was that kind of friend, and that kind of boy. There were lots of times Chris thought Jun was the best and kindest of them all.

Which is why he found himself following up with the other boy’s suggestion of visiting the hospital himself. He wasn't sure how to go about volunteering so he asked Jun to take him. Jun had grinned at him, and his joy almost made it worth it before they even left. Chris realized that Jun had always wanted someone else to go with him, but of course, was not the type to seriously ask, especially other boys on a baseball team.

Amused, Chris listened to Jun chatter the whole way to the hospital. He mostly talked about the kids, gave introductions to each of the ones that had been there a while, and spoke out funny anecdotes that had happened over the year and a bit he’d been volunteering. By the time they reached the hospital, Chris almost felt like he knew them all.

As it turned out, Jun wasn’t wrong about the girls either. The older ones especially seemed to eye him with favor, and since they were little girls, they weren’t exactly subtle. Chris found himself blushing lightly as they clamored for attention, especially since all Jun did was laugh at him, providing no help at all.

They all had games or things they wanted to show him, accepting him easily and without question. And so while Jun read to some, Chris entertained the rest, playing silly little games with them or just listening to them talk. It seemed to him, that more than anything, they just wanted to feel heard.

They were all sad to see him go, pouting rather spectacularly until he promised to come back when he could. Jun chuckled as they left. “Fun, right? Kids are tenacious, and kind of hilarious, even when they don’t mean to be.”

Chris smiled. “Indeed, we could probably learn a thing or two from them.”

Seriously, the idea of Jun sucking his friends into this pastime of his, helping kids and giving them a spot of fun in a very not-fun place...catnip. Crack. Ambrosia. The way Chris gradually started seeing the kids the way Jun did was wonderful, and I like how he made no bones about how it was actually fulfilling.
