Welcome to the remix round! In this round, you’ll make remixes of other participants’ work!

Common remixes are podfics, fanfiction based on art, extended/divergent/different POV fics, and art, but feel free to make whatever creative remix you’d like!

This Round is officially CLOSED, but it is perpetually open for new fills.

The remix round open on June 16th, 2018 (12AM PT) and will close on August 28th, 2018 (11:59PM PT). (Almost the entire duration of the event!)

Rules

Choose a fanwork created in a Bonus Round of SportsFest 2018 and make a remix of it!
You cannot remix your teammates' works. You cannot remix your own works. You can remix fills that were created for your own prompts.
Since all fills are based on previous works, there will be no prompts for this round. Simply post your fill as a comment on this post.
You MUST have the creator’s permission to remix their fills. Check out the remix permissions post HERE.
It’s also polite to message the original creator that you’ve remixed their fill.

400 words (prose)
400px by 400px (art)
- Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
14 lines (poetry)
Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)
If you’d like to use a different medium, please contact the mods if you have any questions about minimum requirements.

There is no max work cap.

After joining, you will be able to access the AfterHours Remix Round Post.

You may make NSFW remixes of a minor’s fill, but they MUST be posted on the AfterHours comm, and the minor will NOT be given access to read it. The minor must also give EXPLICIT permission that NSFW remixes of their fills are allowed (either by giving blanket permission, or by specifying it).

Scoring

20 points per fill for first (8n) fills (where n is the number of members on your team)

10 points for any additional fills

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Additional Information

A Tip: We all want SportsFest to be a fun and safe environment. If you notice someone has made a mistake in their required tagging, or any other html or rules related aspect of their comment, do let them know, message them privately rather than replying - if you reply, they can’t edit the comment! If you aren’t comfortable letting the commenter know directly, contact a mod and we will make sure they update the required tags.

this has... a different mood than the original fill and i hope you wont hate it,, you say "oikawa is blue" and i say "yes sir"

If he closes his eyes, he can feel like he’s almost there. In his mind he sees the raw metal walls disappearing and the tight space of his cabin that never quite stops being a cage to him expanding until all he can see is vivid endless blue. The water that barely reaches his knees is dry, but it’s got easy enough to ignore during his past few visits.

Tobio has never actually seen an ocean before, but that’s not unusual around here. No one he knows has and he’s got old enough to not believe anyone who say they have a long time ago.

When he was younger Oikawa used to tell him stories about it, fantastical musings he drank from his senpai’s lips with unwavering belief. Did you know, Tobio-chan, that the clearest waters on Earth were turquoise? Oikawa always asked him questions like they were dark secrets, whispering into his ear when they were alone, and talked about the ocean with a subtle fond smile that was never directed at his junior. At some point he started running out of things to say and that was the point where Tobio started suspecting he doesn’t know as much as he claimed to, but Oikawa kept talking about the dreamy turquoise waters, so Tobio kept listening.

(Do you think I would disappear, if lied down in them? He added only once, but Tobio thought the question wasn’t really directed at him, so the only answer Oikawa received was the muffled humming of heavy machinery somewhere from the ship and the uneven rhythm of their breathing.)

When he looks again the water he’s standing in is turquoise. He swears it was darker before, but he supposes it was to be expected. Oikawa always leaves a trace wherever he goes and Tobio’s mind, usually so balanced and steady, yields to him particularly easily.

They weren’t that different, the ocean and space. Oikawa’s lies got better, he sounded like he almost believed it this time. Tobio wanted to tell him that there was no reason to tell him all of that anymore, but he knew that every string between them was delicate and threaded with the illusions of the endless blue. If he disturbed the flimsy balance, Oikawa wouldn’t come back again, so he chased away the unsaid words once again and let Oikawa talk.

Ha, I bet you’d be just as useless in water as you are in space. You can’t even put on your spacesuit without my help!

Looking down at his feet Tobio thinks his senpai wasn’t exactly right. Ocean and space are nothing alike. He wiggles his toes, willing the sand to move. The nonexistent water that licks his calves feels more real than the abyss that has surrounded him since he was born, threatening to swallow him whole at his every step. He gets Oikawa’s fascination, but still, he’s not the type to get caught up in an unreachable dream.

(Unless it has brown eyes.)

Ahh, I love the treatment you gave this. I can still sense the mood I set in the drawing, but it's a little sadder and more profound, and I adore it. :')
