Bonus Round 1: Time & Place
Who, when, and where? Send your favorite sports animanga characters to any time and place you want—but the filler decides what they do there.
This bonus round will close on June 29th, 2018 at 11:59PM PT. (Countdown Timer)
This Round is CLOSED, but is perpetually open to new Fills.
Rules
Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a time and place, along with any character/ship/group/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms. Your prompt can include characters from any animanga title regardless of your team affiliation.
- Please format your prompt like so:
TIME: [Time]
PLACE: [Place] - The place can be any real or fictional location.
- The time can be as specific or vague as you want.
- Your prompt MUST include one or more specific nominated fandoms. Please do not prompt “Fandom: Any”.
- If your prompt includes a relationship, make sure to use the proper notation. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Feel free to add additional clarifications as needed.

If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please DO NOT use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.
Scoring
The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!
For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)
For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:
- First 5n fills: 20 points each
- Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
- Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
- All fills after 15n: 2 points each
All scored content must be created new for this round.

A Tip: We all want SportsFest to be a fun and safe environment. The rink was quiet aside from the sound of Yuuri’s skates gliding across the ice.
They were alone. Just him and Viktor…
Viktor Nikiforov. Five time world champion. Greatest figure skater in the world. His coach. His friend. His fiancé.
Fiancé.
Yuuri nearly tripped at the thought.
He brought his right hand up in front of him only a moment later as a part of his step sequence and found that yes, there was indeed a gold ring on his finger. And Yuuri knew that if he looked over at Viktor, he would be able to see that Viktor had a matching one on one of his fingers too.
How could that be?
Did that actually happen?
He closed his eyes during his Ina Bauer, and the words that Viktor spoke the night before to all their friends rang in his mind.
This is an engagement ring. We’ll get married after Yuuri wins a gold medal.
Yuuri Katsuki was actually engaged to be married to Viktor Nikiforov, his childhood idol.
But Viktor was so much more than that now. He was no longer some distant figure on a pedestal that he could never hope to reach.
His Viktor was delicate, and made of glass. He was funny, and forgetful, and sometimes completely clueless. He was the kind of guy who poured the milk in before the cereal and couldn’t figure out why it was wrong. He was the kind of guy who drew the attention of everyone in the room, even though he didn’t mean to. He was the kind of guy who loved with his entire being, and got loved back so few times. He was curious, and happy, and silly, and God, Yuuri loved him.
Yuuri loved him so much.
He finished the run through of his program, extending his arm towards Viktor, reaching out to him and silently telling him just how in love he was.
“That was beautiful, Yuuri!” Viktor shouted, clapping loudly, “You are definitely going to win gold at the final!”
Yuuri wiped a tear off his cheek that he didn’t even realize had fallen as he skated over to Viktor. He smiled, but behind that smile was fear, and worry.
What if he didn’t?
Did the ring on his finger come with a contract?
Was any of this even real?
Did Viktor even love him the way he loved Viktor?
A part of him knew he didn’t have to worry about any of that stuff, but the thoughts bombarded him anyway, becoming louder with each move he made towards his coach.
When Yuuri didn’t respond to him, Viktor became worried. He opened his arms for Yuuri, enveloping him in his embrace as soon as Yuuri was close enough. “But even if you don’t,” Viktor assured quietly in his ear, “That won’t change how I feel about you.”
Yuuri pulled himself out of the hug and looked down at Viktor’s hand that was now resting on the barrier. His eyes flicked from Viktor’s ring, to his own, but did not come up to look at Viktor. “So…,” he started nervously, “This is real then? We are real?”
Viktor took Yuuri’s hands in his own, squeezing them tight. “There’s nothing more real in this world than my feelings for you, Yuuri, I promise you.”
Finally, Yuuri looked up at Viktor, brown eyes meeting blue. “And these rings…”
“I like to think they mean we’re engaged. But, zolotse, you are the one who bought them. What do you want them to be? I will be happy with whatever your answer is.”
Yuuri took a deep breath and smiled at Viktor. “You’re right. What I did back on the steps of that church.” Wow, he still couldn’t believe he actually did that. “I was proposing. I know it wasn’t traditional, and I didn’t even say the word marry but-”
“It was perfect,” Viktor interrupted, “With you being the one giving me the ring, how could it not be?”
Relief flooded through Yuuri at that, but there was still one more thing he needed to know. “Is it… this engagement, conditional? On me winning gold?”
Viktor chuckled quietly. “Wow, I’m an idiot, aren’t I? I said we would get married when you win gold? I’m sorry, Yuuri. What I should’ve said was, we can get married whenever you want, gold medal or no medal. I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, no place on the podium is ever going to change that.”
Yuuri couldn’t help but to release Viktor’s hands and throw his arms around him at that moment. This was real. They were real.
A part of Yuuri couldn’t believe it still because it seemed too good to be true. But as soon as Viktor wrapped his arms around him in return, he knew that he wasn’t dreaming, and it wasn’t too good to be true.
Yuuri Katsuki was actually, really engaged to Viktor Nikiforov, and they had beautiful gold rings on their fingers to prove it.

Thank you for this fill. It actually made me tear up, it was so sweet. I loved Yuuri's doubts about what had happened and Viktor's reassurances. Loved Yuuri's internal thoughts while he was skating. Viktor is so gentle here! Lovely story!
