If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please DO NOT use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.

For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)
For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:
- First 5n fills: 20 points each

- Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
- All fills after 15n: 2 points each

Additional Information
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post). We’ll also have a prompt/fill database up and running soon that will help you filter through BR posts.
A Tip: We all want SportsFest to be a fun and safe environment. If you notice someone has made a mistake in their required tagging, or any other html or rules related aspect of their comment, do let them know, message them privately rather than replying - if you reply, they can’t edit the comment! If you aren’t comfortable letting the commenter know directly, contact a mod and we will make sure they update the required tags.

Ushijima didn’t expect it all to go that far.
Frankly, he didn’t expect it to go anywhere at all, but he was not the one who was competent to make such decisions, so he just shrugged and accepted his mission with his head raised high and confidence he didn’t really feel. He was told that assimilation and understanding humans was a vital step to making contact with them, and that he was fit for the role, so he was.
Don’t draw too much attention to yourself. Watch, don’t engage. You have to stay conscious of your behaviour at all times, don’t let anyone get wary of you. Don’t ever touch the settings on your disguise.
☆☆☆
He broke the first rule of many more to be broken the first week he arrived on Earth. His superiors spent a lot of time on his disguise and made sure that his appearance was appropriate for that of a human 12 year old. Nevertheless, he found himself towering over the chattering kids, who immediately surrounded him and started making comments about his height.
Ushijima didn’t know how to handle it, so he just stiffly walked away, hoping he didn’t screw up the whole plan.
As it turned out, the height and build wasn’t the only thing his superiors have miscalculated, because, despite many limits inflicted upon him by the settings of the disguise, he apparently still had an amount of strength that was dubbed as supernatural by a Shiratorizawa teacher who was very dedicated to trying to recruit him into a sports team.
He’s seen how the students refer to teachers – a “no” never seemed to be an appropriate response to their requests. Joining the volleyball team was the only option to Ushijima at the time, really.
☆☆☆
He broke the second rule a considerable amount of time later, because he just couldn’t get that sports thing.
The people who named themselves his teammates were even more odd than people from his class. They screamed a lot, uselessly ran around a lot, and expected him to hit their hands, but always clutched them those to their chests and sent him hurt looks when he did so.
In theory, he knew how everything worked, the coach made sure he knew all the rules after it became clear he was totally green in this department. He didn’t seem displeased though and kept talking about grooming Ushijima to be the perfect ace he could be. The team seemed to have more or less the same expectations of him as the coach did, and they always seemed happy when he slammed the ball down hard enough to make the team on the other side wince in pain when it came in contact with their skin, so he supposed he could carry on.
The problems began when the practice came to an end or when a match was won.
“Come on, Ushijima-kun, there’s no point celebrating the victory, if our star isn’t there.”
It was easy at first, declining all the offers of joint activities. No one asked him any questions, it’s not like they were close in any way, so it wasn’t that weird when he always stalked off on his own. However, as the time passed, his teammates got more and more adamant about having him with them when they all went to buy buns together, as if they weren’t able to go there on their own, if they were hungry.
They also started demanding answers and Ushijima, having discarded the “I wasn’t supposed to engage” as it was dangerous to the secrecy of his mission, finally gave in and found that the meetings probably weren’t as harmful as he initially thought.
He gradually stopped bothering with coming up with excuses.
☆☆☆
(The time he thought he broke the third rule came in high school. He had to admit to himself that he let his guard down more and more as time flew, and by his second year he barely ever had to pretend and watch his words anymore.
There were times, where humans still baffled him, but he rarely let those instances stop him. The one person he just wasn’t able to wrap his mind around was Oikawa. He thought wishing other people good luck was a polite thing to do and people didn’t have any reason to get angry at him for that, so why did Oikawa always seemed to like him less and less after every perfectly civil conversation? Maybe it was Oikawa who was acting all strange here, not him.
“Jeez, Ushiwaka is just so weird, do you think it’s possible he’s an alien or something?”
Iwaizumi smacked his for being ridiculous, but Ushijima sucked in a sharp breath.)
☆☆☆
All of the Shiratorizawa Volleyball Club members have already left the locker room, but he stayed behind, sitting on the bench and looking intently at his wrist, as if it could give him the answer he so desperately needed.
Technically, it wasn’t a valid reason, he knew that. But..
But.
Before he could second-guess himself, he quickly removed the protection of the settings console of his disguise, and looked at his wrist that now displayed plenty of sliders and buttons, again.
When he had been given the mission, his superiors had made it very clear that he should never tamper with them without explicit orders, and he doubted that they’d deem his last regional volleyball match as a member of his team a reason worthy enough to change them on his own accord.
Nevertheless, he put his fingers on one of the sliders and only slightly moved it to the right. The bench he was sitting on immediately creaked underneath him and he raised his hand up, curling his fingers into a fist and relaxing it again. He suddenly felt more power running through his veins − it was strange, he got used to the limited strength. He doubted his body could even handle removing the cap altogether at this point, he’s got too accustomed to being human.
He got up and headed for the exit. Maybe he’d never be able to give Shiratorizawa his all, but he could become a little more himself just this time.
Re: FILL: team reelfrienship, G
the last line was perfect, and if there was a crack in the mission when he disobeyed the rules, there is a crack in his mask too!! wahh your fill is amazing, thank you!!!
