Bonus Round 1: Time & Place
Who, when, and where? Send your favorite sports animanga characters to any time and place you want—but the filler decides what they do there.
This bonus round will close on June 29th, 2018 at 11:59PM PT. (Countdown Timer)
This Round is CLOSED, but is perpetually open to new Fills.
Rules
Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a time and place, along with any character/ship/group/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms. Your prompt can include characters from any animanga title regardless of your team affiliation.
- Please format your prompt like so:
TIME: [Time]
PLACE: [Place] - The place can be any real or fictional location.
- The time can be as specific or vague as you want.
- Your prompt MUST include one or more specific nominated fandoms. Please do not prompt “Fandom: Any”.
- If your prompt includes a relationship, make sure to use the proper notation. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Feel free to add additional clarifications as needed.

If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please DO NOT use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.
Scoring
The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!
For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)
For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:
- First 5n fills: 20 points each
- Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
- Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
- All fills after 15n: 2 points each
All scored content must be created new for this round.

If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post). We’ll also have a prompt/fill database up and running soon that will help you filter through BR posts.
A Tip: We all want SportsFest to be a fun and safe environment. If you notice someone has made a mistake in their required tagging, or any other html or rules related aspect of their comment, do let them know, message them privately rather than replying - if you reply, they can’t edit the comment! If you aren’t comfortable letting the commenter know directly, contact a mod and we will make sure they update the required tags.

Let’s just say everyone likes volleyball all around a LITTLE too much ;)

“Ten minutes late again today…” Shoyou sighs as he watches the clock slowly tick off another minute. Aiko plays on unconcerned in the background, dinosaur noises interspersed with low screams inside a low fortress make of large paper bricks.
Tobio has sadly made a habit of making Shoyou wait at the end of the school day. Always managing to drop his son off on time at the start of Kindergarden class, but had been late picking him up several days within the last few weeks.
“I have my own life too, Baka-yama,” Shoyou mutters as he shoves a few pieces of paper and drawings around his desk. It’s hard to even have a hint of organization with a classroom invaded by twenty youngsters in the morning, and then another twenty in the afternoon. Every item has its place (even if it rarely occupies it) but Shoyou is far more focused during the day on the kids.
“Mr. Hinata! Shouldn’t my dad already be here? Everyone else left for the day already…” Aiko starts to question. Shoyou is a little nervous to meet his eyes as the boy picks up a larger ball from the corner of the room. Aiko starts a motion to throw it up into the air before Shoyou manages to grab it at the last second from sailing through the room.
“Aiko, you know hitting and throwing these balls inside is against the rules— outside only!” Shoyou tries to sound serious as he hides the ball back in one of the classroom corners.
“But papa always plays with them inside! Why is he allowed and I’m not!” Aiko whines right back, Shoyou managing to hide the ball in a safe place before the cries start to intensify.
“Different rules for different places Aiko. The classroom is just not enough space for hitting-“
“I AM SO SORRY AIKO!”A shout echoes from the doorway as a body collides momentarily with the door before a person appears in the entrance. One Tobio Kageyama.
Hair standing almost on end and still dressed, not in a pair of slacks and dress shirt that normally was his attire, but a two piece volleyball uniform in black and orange.
“YOU— You play VOLLEYBALL?!” Shoyou is unable to hold back his shock and excitement. Annoyance still plays in his emotions in the background with the lateness, but seeing Tobio in an outfit other than his normal work clothes sends Shoyou into his own over-excited state.
“D-ad. Mr. Hinata wouldn’t let me play volleyball in the classroom,” Aiko points at Shoyou accusingly. Tears threaten to spring from the corners of his eyes at any moment.
“And Mr. Hinata is right. An inside space is no place for volleyball-“
“But you do it all the time at home!” Aiko continues to whine and walks over to take his father’s hand.
“That… is our space and sometimes I need to practice,” Tobio pauses to focus on Shoyou, “but this is Mr. Hinata’s class and his set of rules. There is also plenty of space and time outside during recess to play volleyball with others instead.” Tobio brushes his son’s dark hair away from his eyes, a silent promise passing between the both of them with his words.
Shoyou looks between the two of them and their soft moment, a lightbulb going off in his head with compromise.
“You’re late again Mr. Kageyama,” Shoyou walks closer to get into Tobio’s space and reaches to point a steady finger firm against his chest, “and you’re going to pay me back— with volleyball.”
Tobio’s reaction isn’t one Shoyou was expecting. It was full of silence, his intense blue eyes searching as he stood muttering under his breath until Tobio’s focus went back to Shoyou. “Okay.”
Shock was the first thing on Shoyou’s mind. From what he knew of Akio’s father, he was not one to so easily give in… but when you get a gift…
“You promise?” Aiko stands beside his father, face turned up in question at Tobio’s words.
“I promise.”
Those deep blue eyes all Shoyou can see as the only smile he has personally seen graces Tobio’s face – and he knows he’s instantly smitten. Frozen in place as the pair says their quick apologies before Tobio pushes them both quickly out of the classroom.
I am so screwed.

If I saw adult Kageyama's thighs in a volleyball uniform for the first time I would also be so screwed. Thank you for writing this! I loved it
