Bonus Round 1: Time & Place
Who, when, and where? Send your favorite sports animanga characters to any time and place you want—but the filler decides what they do there.
This bonus round will close on June 29th, 2018 at 11:59PM PT. (Countdown Timer)
This Round is CLOSED, but is perpetually open to new Fills.
Rules
Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a time and place, along with any character/ship/group/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms. Your prompt can include characters from any animanga title regardless of your team affiliation.
- Please format your prompt like so:
TIME: [Time]
PLACE: [Place] - The place can be any real or fictional location.
- The time can be as specific or vague as you want.
- Your prompt MUST include one or more specific nominated fandoms. Please do not prompt “Fandom: Any”.
- If your prompt includes a relationship, make sure to use the proper notation. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Feel free to add additional clarifications as needed.

If filling a prompt that has been posted on the after-hours comm, simply reply to that prompt. If filling a SFW prompt, let the prompter know by replying to the original prompt on the main comm with a link to your fill on the corresponding after-hours Bonus Round Post. Please DO NOT use the Fill subject line or Fill header when cross-linking. This will cause the BR scorer to count your fill twice.
Scoring
The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!
For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)
For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:
- First 5n fills: 20 points each
- Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
- Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
- All fills after 15n: 2 points each
All scored content must be created new for this round.

A Tip: We all want SportsFest to be a fun and safe environment. If you notice someone has made a mistake in their required tagging, or any other html or rules related aspect of their comment, do let them know, message them privately rather than replying - if you reply, they can’t edit the comment! If you aren’t comfortable letting the commenter know directly, contact a mod and we will make sure they update the required tags.

Moonstone is a birthstone of June. Ruby is the birthstone of July. :)

He’s never stayed awake for winter before, but this time is different.
It’s always going to be different from now on.
Moonstone was taken on the last sunny day before hibernation. His body was fractured, three arrows pierced his torso, just below his shoulders, and most of him was taken to the moon.
There’s a level of irony there that Ruby can’t quite ignore, but there’s so much more he’d rather think about.
How am I going to go on without you?
Ruby traces the edges of the wooden box, pulled from under the table in Rutile’s office. Moonstone is there, face unsettlingly blank and calm, eyes closed and unmoving. His arms are crossed in the empty chasm below his shoulders. Ruby told the others crossing Moonstone’s arms would let him take up less space, but the truth was that it was a familiar gesture.
“You have so much talent and you’re letting it go to waste by picking flowers,” Moonstone says, crossing his arms. Ruby smiles, placing the woven crown of blue and white flowers atop his head.
“Aah, so mean Sto-chan! If picking flowers was a waste then why do you look so beautiful?”
Moonstone grits his teeth, but Ruby knows that it’s just because he’s embarrassed. Instead of responding to that particular compliment he trips Ruby and grunts out, “Eyes on the sky, shitty-nine.”
“I’m rather upset with you, I’ll have you know,” Ruby says in a hushed tone. He knows how loud he can be, how mad Sensei would be if he woke up the others.
Moonstone doesn’t respond.
He’s not going to anymore.
“You had the nerve to leave after you— you said those things to me.” Ruby sucks in the cold winter air through his teeth, holding it in his mouth until it’s unbearable and blows it back out.
They were patrol partners, born at the same time but not twins, inseparable in everything, always.
Until now.
“After you gave me a secret. After I called you H—” and something indescribable builds inside of him. His inclusions scream for some kind of release from something, a kind of pain he’s never felt before and Ruby gathers up Moonstone in his arms and runs through the temple, runs to the pond and jumps, breaks through the ice until they’re submerged in the freezing water.
His senses feel dulled under the ice, and something inside him cracks as Moonstone’s arms float up and around his shoulders.
“Hajime,” Ruby whispers as they sink to the bottom of the pond, wishing the weight of the water would crush him into dust. “I’d go to the moon just to hear you say my name again.”
The powdered finish has washed off their bodies now, light from the moon and jellyfish reflecting off the red and white and deep blue to color the pond in a light show that only Ruby can see.
“I’d fight until I was nothing but dust to hear the name you gave me.”
Tiny bubbles of air escape from the microscopic cavities in his eyes, floating up to the surface.
“Tooru.”
