Bonus Round 1: Time & Place
Who, when, and where? Send your favorite sports animanga characters to any time and place you want—but the filler decides what they do there.
This bonus round will close on June 29th, 2018 at 11:59PM PT. (Countdown Timer)
This Round is CLOSED, but is perpetually open to new Fills.
Rules
Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a time and place, along with any character/ship/group/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms. Your prompt can include characters from any animanga title regardless of your team affiliation.
- Please format your prompt like so:
TIME: [Time]
PLACE: [Place] - The place can be any real or fictional location.
- The time can be as specific or vague as you want.
- Your prompt MUST include one or more specific nominated fandoms. Please do not prompt “Fandom: Any”.
- If your prompt includes a relationship, make sure to use the proper notation. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Feel free to add additional clarifications as needed.

Scoring
The scoring for bonus rounds depends on the number of people (n) on your team. You’re welcome to make as many prompts and fills as you like!
For prompts: 5 points per prompt, limited to 5 times the number of team members (5n)
For fills, where (n) = number of members on you team:
- First 5n fills: 20 points each
- Fills 5n to 10n: 10 points each
- Fills 10n to 15n: 5 points each
- All fills after 15n: 2 points each
All scored content must be created new for this round.

This was it.
It was almost time.
Almost time.
Barely any time.
Yuuri sucked in a sharp breath.
He looked up from the spot on the ground he had been staring at and suddenly his ears were filled with noise. Loud noise he didn’t even realize he had been blocking out.
Clapping hands. Screaming fans. The splash of water. The yells of the coaches. The cheers of teammates.
This was it. This was real.
Katsuki Yuuri, nothing but a dime-a-dozen swimmer from Japan, was here.
The Olympics.
He had worked to get here his entire career, and after years and years of pushing himself to his limits, he actually made it. He was here, on the biggest swimming stage in the world, and everyone was watching.
Everyone was watching.
They were watching him.
Yuuri snapped his eyes shut. The air was becoming thinner, his breaths getting faster, his heart beating quicker.
They were all watching him.
He couldn’t do this. How could he swim if he couldn’t even breathe?
Thoughts were racing through his mind.
What if he messed up? What if he jumped late? What if he hit the lane dividers? What if he screwed up his stroke? What if he drowned?
He knew none of that would happen. But the thoughts attacked him anyway. Each one chipping away at the confidence he had built up before the competition.
This was it for him. No one would ever want to swim with him again. He would be the talk of the town, the biggest loser in Japan. Hell, he would be the biggest loser-
All of his thoughts came to a grinding halt when he felt a pair of strong arms wrap around him from behind. He felt safe in those arms, he felt at home.
Yuuri opened his eyes and released a breath he didn’t even know he was holding. Now he remembered…
He wasn’t alone.
Victor released his hold on Yuuri and walked around him so they were standing face to face. Silently, he took one of Yuuri’s hands and brought it to his lips, kissing his knuckles reverently.
“Yuuri,” he said softly, blue eyes meeting brown, “My Yuuri. You’re going to do amazing out there.”
There wasn’t anyone else in the stadium anymore. It was empty, completely empty aside from the two of them. No more noise. No more people watching. Just them, him and Victor. His Victor.
“Remember, swim the way you like best. I’m already so proud of you, zolotse.”
The bright smile on Victor’s face was enough to warm his heart and melt a few of his many worries away. He wasn’t alone. He had Victor. And as far as he was concerned, Victor’s eyes were the only pair in this whole stadium that mattered.
The blow of a whistle warned him that it was time to go. But there was something he had to do first.
Moving fast, Yuuri grabbed Victor’s tie and pulled him forward, pressing his lips to his husband’s for as long as he possibly could.
A year ago, doing such a thing in public would’ve scared the hell out of him. But he wasn’t that Yuuri anymore. He wasn’t scared of everyone’s opinion all the time because he knew that no one else’s opinion mattered.
Sometimes, he just needed a little reminding.
When he finally pulled away, he opened his eyes to an awestruck Victor and smirked. “Don’t take your eyes off me,” he instructed before turning away from his coach and walking up to his lane’s board. He stepped up onto it and moved into starting position.
“Swimmers take your marks.”
This was it. This was his big chance.
He knew all those negative thoughts running through his head were just noise.
There was a time when he didn’t, when he thought every negative thing he could come up with was true and that there was nothing he could do about it.
“Get set.”
He bent down, hands gripping the edge of the board.
Victor helped him to realize that he had been wrong the whole time. He was capable, and talented, and qualified, and meant to be exactly where he was.
With that in mind, and with Victor by his side, it was much easier to beat the negativity that once plagued him nonstop.
He wasn’t alone.
And he never would be again.

i can 100% relate to yuuri's anxieties (in like. everything LMAO) so this was really nice ... their canon relationship is already so (clenches fist) SUPPORTIVE gosh victor's little gestures and words to help ease yuuri's thoughts and those endearments make me smile...! thank you so much for filling with something so wonderful <3

yuuri is honestly such a relatable character, and i love him with all my heart~ his relationship with victor is one of my favorite things in the whole world, so getting the chance to write them together being supportive of one another is my jam! you absolutely wrote one of my favorite prompts in this whole bonus round! thank you for providing me with the chance to write this!! :D
