Postcard Contest

Hello all! This year, we’re going to be running something a little different: a postcard contest!

Participants can send in their postcard designs, and then all of you will vote to choose a design that we’ll print and send out (for free!) to everyone who wants one!

Making a Design

For this contest, we’re looking for sports anime-themed designs. Although it’s not required that you include multiple fandoms or sports in your entry, it’s definitely encouraged, since this is a pan-fandom event.

Here are the specific requirements for your postcard entries:

300dpi
CMYK colors
5” x 7”
0.25 inch bleed
Design must be SFW
Design must include “SportsFest 2018”
Only original art and design may be included

How to Submit

When you’ve finalized your entry, submit it to the contest using this google form. You will need a google account to submit with this form. If you do not have a google account, you may email us your entry at sportsfest.mods@gmail.com. Please include your dreamwidth username in your email.

Please submit your entry in .jpg format. If your design wins, we may ask you to submit it to us in a different file type.

Designs will be due ~~July 7th, 11:59 PT.~~ EXTENSION: July 20th, 2018 at 11:59PM PT.

You may submit a maximum of three (3) entries to the contest. Submit a new form for each entry you create.

Voting & Mailing

After halftime, the mods will post a poll with all the submitted postcard designs and participants will vote on their favorites. The design that wins the vote will be printed and mailed to all interested participants.

Before mailing, we’ll open up a form for you to submit your mailing addresses to us, if you want to receive one. These postcards will be free. That said, we will be opening a ko-fi for any of you who want to throw a few dollars our way to help cover the cost.

Winners

If your design wins the contest, we’ll send you a prize pack as a thank you for all the hard work. However, your team will not get SportsFest points for submitting or winning, and we can’t offer you monetary compensation.

All artists will keep their rights to their art. SportsFest mods will just be printing and distributing the piece at the conclusion of the event. After postcards have been mailed out, mods will NOT reprint or distribute the art.
