What is the Remix Round?

The remix round functions exactly like any other bonus round, only instead of using prompts, you create works based on other participants fills!

• As with all aspects of Sportsfest, all work must be created new for this round.
  
  
• You cannot remix fills created by yourself. You can, however, remix fills that were created for your prompts.
  
  
• You must have permission from the creator in order to remix their fills. You can use the Permissions Spreadsheet to easily find other participants' given permission, but if the type of fill you wish to create is not listed and/or you're not sure whether the creator would be comfortable with it, just ask!

How to set your remix permissions

There are two ways to give people permission to remix your works:

• Fill out the Remix Permissions Form. This is the both the easiest to reference for remixers and the easiest to update for creators!
  
  
• The fill headers for every Bonus Round (including the Remix Round) include an optional line for you specify any permissions for that specific fill!

How to check someone's remix permissions

If the fill creator included any remix permissions in their fill header, be sure to follow them. However, it's always a good idea to check the Remix Permissions Spreadsheet since it's the easiest for the creator to update should they later change their mind. Simple enter their username into the drop-down box to get their remix permissions.



Alternatively, you can go to the 'All Remix Permissions' tab to see everyone's remix permissions at once!

Help! I changed my mind about my remix permissions!
No worries! Just fill out the remix permissions form again! The spreadsheet will only show your most recently submitted permissions!

What do I do if the type of remix I want to create isn't listed on the form/spreadsheet?
You aren't restricted to the types of remixes listed! However, you must ask for the creator's permission. It's also a good idea to contact the mods so we know what type of remixes to include on future forms!

Is there anything not considered a remix?
We currently do not accept edits and recolors of completed artwork as remixes.
