Rules

• Submit prompts by following this format :
  TIME:
  PLACE:
  
  Time can be as precise or as vague as you like.
  Place can be a real or a fictional location.
  
  Example:
  • TIME: 2am
    PLACE: At his house
    
  • TIME: 16 days after departure
    PLACE: Atlantic sea
    
  • TIME: Taking off
    PLACE: The fortress in the clouds
• Prompts can be in any language as long as you provide an English translation!
  
• Fill prompts by creating fanworks inspired by the setting. What the characters are doing there is up to you !
  
• You cannot fill your teammate's prompts or your own!
  
• You must use the prompt/fill headers below, and you cannot leave any line blank!

Format

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
  
• 400px by 400px (art)
  • Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
• 14 lines (poetry)
  
• Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
  
• Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)
  
• If you’d like to use a different medium, please contact the mods if you have any questions about minimum requirements.

There is no max work cap.

Meeting the parents, from what Chris had known about it, was supposed to be one of the most important points in a relationship, but so was farting in front of each other, if you trusted some articles. Yes, Chris had prepared and read upon it before he carefully approached Miyuki with the idea.
To his surprise, when he finally voiced the suggestion, Miyuki just shrugged and said. “Sure.”

So much for a pivotal moment. Frankly, the ease with which Miyuki accepted was slightly baffling. Many people got quite flustered by the idea of meeting his dad, because he was a former baseball idol, for some even a famous celebrity, but of course, Miyuki was always the exception to any rule.

It went as could be expected: although Chris had tried to coach his dad before the meeting to avoid any unnecessary trauma, it turned out to be useless anyway, as dad’s emotions got the better of him and instead of just shaking his hand, like any normal person, he practically lunged at Miyuki, hugged him and to Chris’ horror even lifted him in his enthusiasm. That night, Chris realized that Miyuki might be the one, because he took their Takigawa family weirdness like a pro, even laughing about it later.

Now, standing side-by-side in front of Miyuki’s old home, Chris realized that his boyfriend must have been nervous that night, he was just good at hiding it.

Eyeing the old building, Chris took a deep breath. “Ok. Let’s go!” He made a decisive step forward, but suddenly Miyuki’s hand on his own stopped him. He turned back to look at him with surprise, but before he could ask, Miyuki started. “My dad is nothing like yours,” he warned gravely, looking slightly ashen, as he avoided Chris’ eyes.

“Miyuki?” Chris asked with a concerned frown.
“I know I should have told you sooner, just…don’t expect too much.”
It was such a terrible thing to say about one’s parent.
Chris waited for a bit longer for Miyuki to continue, but when Miyuki remained silent, looking miserable, he reached out to catch his hand, intertwining their fingers.
“My dad’ll never like you,” Miyuki explaiend weakly, “he’ll never like you, because you’re not a girl.”

Chris grimaced at the words, glad that Miyuki wasn’t looking at him. He didn’t know what to say. He just squeezed Miyuki’s fingers lightly.

“It doesn’t matter to me,” he said and he really meant it, but Miyuki didn't seem to be reassured one bit, still unable to meet his eyes. Chris gently pulled at the hand in his grasp to make him look up, then he grinned. “Besides, my dad seemed to love both of us plenty.”

That, at last, brought a small grin to Miyuki’s face. “That he sure does.”
“I believe he’s our biggest fan,” Chris chuckled, relieved to see Miyuki’s expression brightening.
Miyuki snorted. “I thought you’re our biggest fan.”
Chris looked at him with a soft expression. “I’m your biggest fan. Let’s go.”
