Rules

• Submit prompts by following this format :

  Time can be as precise or as vague as you like.
  Place can be a real or a fictional location.

• Prompts can be in any language as long as you provide an English translation!

Format

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
  
• 400px by 400px (art)
  • Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
• 14 lines (poetry)
  
• Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
  
• Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)

Thank you for the fantastic fill! I marvel at the way how you actually in such a few words implied that Chris' entire mindset shifted with the small occurence. Very nice job, plus I love his surprised expression in the picture (and the rebelious shirt without a tie, but he gave it to Miyuki, so logically he cannot have one ;).

Kazuya sat at the large wooden table, one leg jouncing in agitation, the other hooked at the ankle around his chair. He would’ve tipped back in his seat and tried balancing the chair on two legs, but the last time he did that, Kuramochi, that rat bastard, had snuck up behind him and tipped the chair, spilling Kazuya onto the floor along with his books and earning the librarian’s ire.

No, this afternoon all four chair legs were firmly on the ground, rooting him to his spot. Which was a good thing because Kazuya needed to be mentally grounded in order to be able to concentrate once his ‘tutor’ showed up.

Chris was still in his uniform when he arrived, though his sleeves were rolled up, his tie loose and the first two buttons on his shirt undone. Kazuya swallowed hard and tried not to stare at the hollow of his neck.

Chris took the seat opposite Kazuya, sliding into the chair with a sigh. “Sorry I’m late.”

“It’s no problem, really, Chris-senpai. I appreciate you being willing to help me.”

“Well, we can’t have the star catcher get himself benched for failing a class, can we?”

Anyone else making that comment would’ve found themselves on the biting end of Kazuya’s sarcasm, but Chris’ sincerity was written on his face and Kazuya swallowed any retort he might’ve made.

He couldn’t let the team down, couldn’t let Chris down, and so he would study his ass off and pass this upcoming history exam.

“...yuki? Earth to Miyuki…?”

Kazuya shook himself out of his reverie. “I’m sorry, Chris-senpai, what did you say?”

“I asked if you knew what periods the exam would cover.”

“Uhh, the Nara and Heian,” Kazuya answered, opening his textbook. He was about to spin it around for Chris to see when Chris stood and rounded the table to sit next to him.

“I probably should’ve sat here to begin with so we can both look over the text without flipping the book back and forth,” he said.

This close, Kazuya could see faint circles under Chris’ eyes, and his skin was slightly flushed.

“You okay, Chris-senpai?”

“Mn, yeah. Just been a little busy lately. You know how exam weeks are,” Chris dismissed, rubbing his temple and squinting against the light from the hanging pendant lamp above their table. He gestured vaguely with his free hand. “Why don’t you give me a rundown of the major authors of those periods and the significance of their works?”

Kazuya began the task, trying to concentrate on his text and not his tutor, or his tutor’s strong tanned forearm resting on the arm of the chair. Chris sat silently, eyes closed, allowing Kazuya to sift through his notes and organize his information.
The first real clue Kazuya had that something was very wrong was a thump against his shoulder as Chris slumped into him.

“Chris-senpai! Are you okay?!”

Chris mumbled something unintelligible as Kazuya caught him from falling further. If anything, his cheeks were even more flushed, and a sheen of sweat coated his brow. His forehead was hot to Kazuya’s touch.

“You have a fever, Senpai. We need to get you to the nurse’s office.”

Whatever protestations Chris might’ve made in his mumblings went ignored as Kazuya tried to shove his belongings into this backpack, all the while making sure Chris didn’t topple over. He managed to get them both standing, and looped one of Chris’ arms over his shoulders as he steadied Chris with an arm around his waist. Chris leaned into him heavily and the scent of his cologne wafted to Kazuya’s nose.

‘Oi! This is no time to be sniffing your crush, idiot; he needs your help.’ Kazuya valiantly wrangled his wayward thoughts back into line as they shambled their way to the nurse’s office.

The nurse was surprised when they staggered through the doorway, but she took over with brisk efficiency, and Chris was soon tucked into one of the beds with a compress on his forehead after she took his vitals. She reassured Kazuya that the doctor was on his way, and offered a chair so that Kazuya could sit with Chris if he wanted.

He definitely wanted.

Thank you so much for this awesome fill. I realize that the combination with the public place made it a bit more challenging, so I was curious how people handled it, and I liked it very, very much.

It seems so much like Chris, to come and try to help even though he is almost keeling over from exhaustion. I bet Miyuki spent some time sitting there and maybe even later talking to him.

Your description of Chris' ahem disshelved uniform were also very delicious. I would be very much surprised if Miyuki actually learned anything at all.
