Bonus Round 1: Three Words

A lot can be said in just three words, and we're challenging you to do just that in this bonus round! From your "I love you"s to your "red, white, blue"s, you'll have just three words to prompt and be prompted.

Rules

• Submit prompts by commenting any three words of your choosing! This can be a phrase or a list of words. Example:
  • Please don't go
    
  • Morning, flower, kiss
    
  • Past, Present, Future
• Prompts can be in any language as long as you provide an English translation!
  
• Fill prompts by creating fanworks inspired by all three words, or only one or two! The choice is yours.
  
• You cannot earn points by filling your teammate's prompts or your own! (That said, we won't stop you from doing so for fun!)
  
• You must use the prompt/fill headers below, and you cannot leave any line blank!

Format

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
  
• 400px by 400px (art)
  • Traditional art is also allowed with a good quality photo/scan
• 14 lines (poetry)
  
• Playlists - 5 song minimum with artists. Link to either a video playlist, or each song separately. Be sure to warn for content in the music videos, and you may find linking to lyrics helpful. You may also write an explanation of why you chose each song.
  
• Moodboards - 9 photo min, source all photos, and no fanart allowed (unless it's your own)
  
• If you’d like to use a different medium, please contact the mods if you have any questions about minimum requirements.

There is no max work cap.

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual member!

Sometimes life is boring—it's a chain of activities consisting of getting up, eating, working and sleeping, with no particular events slipping in between to disturb the routine. Tobio considers washing his hands of their red streaks and scrubbing the screams out of his ears as his routine for the past few years. He receives an order, carries out the mission in the shortest time possible, and gets the reward; simple and efficient. He has never failed his assignments.

Except for one time.

“What are you doing here?!”

The shrill, hysteric voice is nightmare-inducing enough that Tobio whips his head so fast that his eyes see stars and his brain is escaping his skull.

Other times, life likes to laugh at their expense.

“I fucking work here?” he growls.

“You work here?!” The shrimp repeats, baffled. “How can you work here?”

“What do you think this is, dumbass?”

Hinata Shouyou looks anxiously around the common room, like he's expecting a monster to jump out of walls or to appear behind elevator's doors, then looks back at Tobio with the faintest hint of embarrassment.

“They told me they'd offer me a job after the disaster at my last one,” he mumbles.

Of course they did. Tobio rolls his eyes. “Did you really think that you'd just go back to living your life after escaping an assassination attempt?”

Turns out that fake and misleading information can result in taking in strays that shouldn't have been involved in this world in the first place, and Tobio doesn't know how he's supposed to handle this guy. He can't even make friends in a normal situation, he can't imagine trying to get in the circle of people close to the person he tried to wrongly kill. God damn it.

Hinata bristles, scrunching in nose in distate. “Listen, they weren't specific and only promised I'd be safe, so what did you think I'd do? Run in the opposite direction?”

“Well, now you're going to work to the people who thought you were the guy we needed to kill,” Tobio snorts. “I hope you can stand the sight of blood.”

Tobio takes out his knives hanging on his hips one by one, turning them in his hands and showing their sharp edge glistening under the light. He also taps on the holster of his guns strapped on his thighs and doesn't hold back a smirk when he sees Hinata paling as the seconds pass. What is routine for him is clearly a whole new life for others, which is a bit easy to laugh about.

“What job are you supposed to do?” Tobio asks.

Hinata swallows and fiddles with his fingers. “Taking care of communication and handing out missions.”

“That's not surprising, they want to keep an eye on you.”

Watching someone who doesn't go out or has to go through the higher-ups to decide anything is the easiest, especially when that person has no prior knowledge about what they'll do. Tobio has to admit that the decision was quick and practical.

Hinata looks up at Tobio, his previous nervousness almost vanished as his eyes meet Tobio's. “I don't know what's in store for me, but I'll get out one day.”

If only things were that simple. “The blood on your hands isn't only physical, you know.”

A silence follows, and Tobio knows he isn't only speaking for Hinata to understand. Washing his hands has become a mere habit with no meaning.

“Try not to get killed again,” Tobio says before walking away, ignoring those brown eyes flash with fire.
