Leaving is hard.

Leaving is always hard.

It was hard when Taiga left his mother and his friends and his whole life to cross an ocean to a place where he didn’t know anyone or anything, where he felt alone for what had felt like years (an exaggeration, yes, but too long nonetheless) until he’d met Tatsuya. It was hard to leave that place and come back to somewhere he no longer belonged, to leave his father and his friends, and Alex, and the hope that he could patch things up with Tatsuya someday.

He’d kept the hope alive despite himself, and Tatsuya had followed him, but here he is, leaving Tatsuya all over again.

(And his friends, his life, a place he really did belong after all, though there is some of that waiting on the other side.) He can’t ask Tatsuya to come back too, ask him to leave the same things--Tatsuya will probably do it anyway, and Taiga knew that without Tatsuya whispering into his shoulder that he’d be back too before Taiga knew it when he’d hugged him goodbye, but that doesn’t make up for Taiga doing this when he has the choice not to. That when they’ve found each other again, when they’ve started to rebuild their foundation, he just goes back to LA and leaves Tatsuya behind again, a gnawing guilt like a cat chewing on a wire, jaw clenching tighter when Taiga remembers how happy Tatsuya is for him, for having this opportunity.

He promises himself, staring into his hands on a too-small airplane seat, that he won’t waste it. For Tatsuya, and for himself.

*

Lake water is nothing like the ocean water Taiga’s used to, the wash of the salt over his feet, the movement and the color. His instinct is to put his hand out to stop anyone who calls this a beach; it’s nice but it’s not that, a wholly different category in his mind--it’s not a beach if you can’t surf in the water. (The water he’s used to is also a hell of a lot warmer than this, and he doesn’t have to get into pointless stamina contests with Tatsuya when they’re back in LA, but that’s beside the point.)

“It’s not bad,” says Tatsuya, though he looks as if he very much wants to cross his arms over his chest, though his hands are loosely at his sides.

“Your fingernails are blue,” says Taiga.

Tatsuya frowns and steps deeper into the water; Taiga pulls on his arm. “The front office will kill me if you get hypothermia.”

Tatsuya turns to smile at Taiga, like this is all something he planned for.

“I’m going to have to carry you out,” says Taiga.

(He’s not jumping for the opportunity; his heart isn’t stuffed into his throat like cheese in a grilled mushroom. That’s not what this is about.)

Tatsuya steps back again, leaning in closer to Taiga.

“So you are cold,” Taiga says (he’s not proud of how close his breath is to hitching in the back of his mouth).

“It’s refreshing.”

Tatsuya glances out at the horizon, eastward until the lake disappears over it, and Taiga watches him watch. It was easier to keep his crush on Tatsuya buried deep inside him when they played on different teams. It was easier to keep it in denial, and it didn’t feel so bad, like a betrayal of their long-relinquished so-called brotherhood--but that’s not how it feels at all. Tatsuya’s way better at lying to himself than Taiga is; he always has been. But it was Tatsuya who’d chased Taiga to Japan, back to LA, to the NBA, and finally engineered his own trade to Chicago. Maybe Taiga’s putting an outsize importance on himself here, but Tatsuya’s made enough remarks over the years, glancing blows he could have easily landed harder, that he’d always thought he’d be the one in the lead. They’re more self-deprecating than angry now, even looking through the layers of Tatsuya’s voice and his tendency to mix up the two into a venom, but it hurts Taiga just as much. Maybe it was better for him to develop the way he did, better for Tatsuya to go his own path, but he could have tried harder to end up closer to Tatsuya--if not on the Knicks with him, then with the Nets or the Sixers. Or something.

He can’t imagine leaving the Bulls, though, or the life he has here, including the lakeside beaches. But Tatsuya had given his version of that up, to be here.

*

They walk back towards their apartment sunburned and already starting to miss the icy lake water just a little bit. It’s too hot for the streets to be very crowded, and the emptiness of the water-stuffed air makes Taiga want to grab onto Tatsuya’s hand more than usual. It makes him want to confess everything, his guilt and the shame that clings to it, all that he wants despite that. (Is this how Tatsuya feels all the time, to get those emotions seeping into everything? How can he stand it if it is?)

“I’m sorry,” says Taiga.

Tatsuya looks up at him. Taiga can see the edge of his sunburn recede just under the neckline of his t-shirt.

“I’m glad you’re here with me, and I know you’re happy to be here, too, but--I just keep making you follow me and I know that’s not what you want. And I know I wouldn’t have wanted to leave here, but I feel like I made you choose me, or maybe I’m wrong, but?”

“Oh, Taiga,” Tatsuya says, taking his hand. “You never made me feel that way. I came here to be with you, and I knew you wanted to play with me, but I wouldn’t have left New York if I didn’t want to. I loved it there, and I won’t deny that it’s difficult sometimes for me to take a backseat to you--which is nothing you’re doing to push me back. But I wouldn’t have asked for a trade so I could make a point about making sacrifices, or if I didn’t want to leave. I’m here because I wanted to be here more than I wanted to be there, so please don’t feel bad.”

If there’s a higher power, Taiga wouldn’t thank it for letting Tatsuya understand him. That’s all Tatsuya. He squeezes Tatsuya’s hand; he probably doesn’t want to be thanked, but Taiga wants to. Guilt is still spilling out of him; he hates it.

Tatsuya hugs him. It’s too fucking hot; there’s too much sweat; Tatsuya’s chin is rubbing against his sunburn.

*

All of Tatsuya’s calculated restraint and insinuations go nowhere when the team takes a day trip to Indiana without him. He could play; the decision is that he won’t, to go easy on his nagging elbow injury while it’s the beginning of the season and there’s a lot of slack in the standings. Tatsuya will argue infinitely about how the fourth game is just as important as the eighty-first, perhaps more so, but in the end he respects the coaches’ decision and doesn’t come.

Taiga has many fewer opportunities to show his displeasure with the decision, starting from how he’s only had one game so far with Tatsuya and that’s been not nearly enough of a taste, ending with that Tatsuya fucking wants to play and he’s medically cleared to do so. He tells all of this to Tatsuya, and Tatsuya agrees, but in the end he defers, and in the end Taiga has to leave him. Again.

“You’re being melodramatic,” says Tatsuya. “You’ll be back for dinner.”

“I know,” Taiga says. “But I want to play with you. I love you.”

This is the worst moment to say this, the worst moment to bring this up, the worst moment to have to claim he meant it in a different way. It’s got nothing to do with anything, and it’s just going to make Tatsuya angry.

Except he doesn’t look angry, even a little.

“Don’t you get injured, too,” says Tatsuya.

He cups Taiga’s chin in his hand and pulls him down into a kiss, brief but full.

“We can talk about this when you get home,” Tatsuya says.

“Yeah,” says Taiga. “Okay.”

(He still hasn’t processed it--he probably won’t until they actually do talk about it, but here he goes getting ahead of himself again.)

“I, uh. Shouldn’t be late.”

“Probably not,” says Tatsuya, nudging him toward the door.

He doesn’t close it until Taiga’s in the elevator.

When Miyuki pictured, what the night after winning Koushien would be like, he imagined a lot of cheering, a lot of shouting and some party to celebrate. Most of that happened of course, but what he failed to predict was, how many people there would be calling and writing to congratulate him on his victory. His old phone started buzzing right after the ending of the finals and continued long into the night, when dragged himself out of the bed to put it on Silent to get some sleep. When he checked it in the morning, there was an considerable number messages and missed calls waiting.

He had managed to answer most of them until the afternoon. Except one, which arrived among the first ones, but still remained unanswered, because he didn’t quite know, what to write. It was almost a relief when the coach asked them to assemble to meet with the Headmaster. So Miyuki set his phone to Silent again and went to meet with his team-mates.
As it turned out, the meeting with the headmaster wasn’t just for regular shaking of hands, but included a surprise lunch with Instagramable sushi attended by important school alumni and sponsors. Yes, they definitely were the stars for the week.

After the lunch, the school bus had taken them to Tokyo TV for an interview, for which Zono sweated more than for the finals.

When he checked his phone during a break, the number of messages displayed was still increasing, but the incoming trickle slowed down considerably. He would have to answer them in the evening. All of them.

They were finally allowed back to school when it was getting dark and he was tired. Sawamura walking at his side didn’t share the predicament, as he kept on talking cheerfully and oblivious to the fact that Miyuki was only humming in the right places, his thoughts running away from him.

“Ah, Chris-senpai!”
Sawamura yelled and ran quickly forward. Miyuki’s thoughts ground to a painful halt.
There was indeed Chris, casually seated on a step before the deserted Seido dorm as if he didn’t have to travel over an hour to get there. He had been probably waiting there for some time now.

Chris stood up from the stair and smiled at Sawamura with his usual smile. “You’re energetic as ever, Sawamura.”
Sawamura smiled widely. “Thank you for your message, shisho!”
Miyuki winced and he knew that Chris had noticed.
Chris exchanged a few more words with Sawamura, who looked beside himself with joy at seeing the catcher, before he looked over to Miyuki.
“That was some excellent catching, Miyuki,” he said sincerely.
He had heard the sentence so many times in the last 24 hours, but coming from Chris made it much more significant. He didn’t know what to say and he felt Kuramochi’s eyes boring into his back. Even Sawamura was looking confused between Chris and Miyuki.

“Walk with me?” Chris asked him quietly, his intent eyes betraying the soft tone. Miyuki swallowed and nodded dumbly. Chris set out and he followed. Over his shoulder he could hear Sawamura bellowing.
“I want to walk with shisho!” and Kuramochi quieting him.
Then their voices got lost among Seido buildings as they walked out to the backstreet leading to the train station. The one, where Miyuki had countless times waited for Chris returning from his therapy.
They set out at a leisurely pace, walking side by side quietly for a while.

“With school-year ending, this might be one of our last walks here,” Chris said thoughtfully.
Miyuki felt a large lump in his throat forming at the words.
“Chris…” he started, but there was such emptiness in his head, he didn't know how to continue.
Chris stopped, forcing Miyuki to stop as well. “I can hear you thinking, what is bothering you, Miyuki?” he asked, looking at the other seriously.
Miyuki looked to the side, ordering his scrambled thoughts for a moment. “Seido is over for me now, isn’t it?” It felt like an empty question, given the obvious answer, but Chris frowned, always master at reading what was not said.
“Seido yes, but not baseball, right?” Chris asked imploringly and Miyuki wasn’t sure, what it was that he heard in the question. Hope? Concern?

He couldn’t look at Chris, so he looked down at the ground, when he finally admitted it. “No, not baseball. Scouts had been contacting me.”
Chris sighed relieved: “Miyuki, that is great!”
And he sounded so genuinely happy for him. How could he be so happy?

Miyuki closed his jaw firmly, lifting his eyes to Chris’ smiling face. “It was supposed to be you,” he said. Because that was the truth and he will never run from it.
“What do you mean?”
“You were supposed to sign first,” Miyuki repeated mulishly.
“Sign first?” Chris repeated, obviously confused. He looked away for a moment, pensive, before he looked back to Miyuki. “Miyuki, this is your chance, you have to use it!” he stated firmly.
“But what if I end up somewhere far away, in Fukuoka for instance. If I waited for you…”
Chris laughed, interrupting him.
“Then it would be Fukuoka. It’s only two hours by plane and I’ve heard it’s nice there.”

Miyuki hated how reasonable Chris sounded, how he laughed about it so freely although this was not a laughing matter.

Chris looked at him, suddenly growing very serious.
“This means many changes. I’ll understand, if you want to break up,” he said in too leveled voice.
For a second, Miyuki just stared at him dumbly, not able to react right away. “No!” he denied resolutely, maybe louder than was necessary. He was still disoriented by the terrible idea and ready to argue his point, if Chris got any funny ideas, when Chris let out a huge relieved breath. “So it’s just a question of travel, no matter what you choose.” He then quickly looked in both directions of the empty walk, before he leaned forward pressed a quick kiss against Miyuki’s lips. No sooner the kiss started, it was over and Chris leaned away from him. “This might be the last time I can do it publicly like this, now when you’re going to be a star,” he said with a twinkle in his eyes and lips curling into an impish smile that was making appearance only between them. “Don’t worry, I’ll catch up to you!”

Miyuki took in a deep breath. “I’ll be waiting.”

Miyuki peeled his eyes open, feeling slightly confused. It felt like it was time for his alarm to ring, but it was still quiet and it actually seemed a little too dark too. He sat up, disoriented.
“Go to sleep,” Chris on his right mumbled sleepily, worming deeper into the sheets. Ah yes, they were in Chris’ flat near the university. Miyuki reached for his phone and Chris discontentedly grumbled at the movement. Without thinking about it, Miyuki reached out with his hand to strike Chris’ back, while he tried to operate the phone with his left.

“Ack,” he protested when the bright light assaulted his eyes. 5.34
“I should go, the match starts at 10,” he said into the darkness, not feeling a bit inspired to follow up on his words. The muscles under his hand shifted as Chris turned his head to squint at him.
“I’m fairly sure there will be no match,” he said.

Miyuki felt like his eyes were hurt enough and put aside the phone. “How so?” he asked slightly hopefully, trying to find his boyfriend in the darkness, but being actually too blinded from the phone yet.

“Do you hear that?”
Chris asked. Miyuki quieted to listen and then the heard it too, steady pronounced drumming of a storm against the window.
“There’s a typhoon over the entire Tokyo region. It’s been raging since after midnight. All outside activities were forbidden.”

Miyuki shuffled back into the sheets, snuggling to the comfortable warmth on his side. “That’s most unfortunate,” he mumbled against the skin and punctuated the statement with a small kiss.
Chris chuckled. “Oh, I don’t know, I’d watch you playing in a storm. It’d be very dramatic.”
Miyuki huffed and planted another kiss next to the previous one. “Or we could just stay in,” he breathed out, a small playful bite following his words.
“Hmmm, yes, we could definitely do that,” Chris replied, sounding increasingly more interested in the happening. He attempted to turn around, but Miyuki’s hand splayed in the middle of his back held him down and Miyuki proceeded worshiping the body trapped underneath him with dedication.
“What happened to sleeping?”
Miyuki was proud that Chris’ voice was slightly breathy and uneven.
“Overrated,” he replied firmly as his hand exploring the wide expanse of skin dipped lower and caressed dimples over the most perfect ass he had ever seen.
Chris purred at the touch. “You’re insatiable.”
“Yes, it’s all hardship,” Miyuki mumbled, his voice also getting raspy with excitement.
Suddenly he stopped his attentions. Chris noted the change and turned slightly to look at him curiously.
Miyuki’s eyes were opened wide and he was staring at the window. “Have you ever kissed in a rain?”
Chris with one pounce pinned Miyuki underneath him.
“You’re not dragging me out into that to try kissing in the rain,” he declared, kissing his boyfriend to distract him from the idea.
Miyuki huffed, receiving the eager kisses, he mumbled:
“We could try on the balcony?”

“Chris-senpai, is this seat taken?” Miyuki approached his senior in the mess hall. It was not unusual to find Chris sitting alone these days. What was unthinkable before was now reality. Miyuki still vividly remembered how he the last year had to scope out the terrain and plan to get a chance to sit next to the other man, now it was a more common occurrence.

Chris looked up from the food to gaze at Miyuki with dull eyes. “No,” he said simply. The sentence that would have been accompanied by a small smile, because Chris was like that, was now expression-less and empty. Chris was alone. He was alone most of the time now.

It was not that he was not meeting with people, he was still attending classes, he was helping pitchers and making extensive research before their games, but it was the quietness around him that was lonesome. It was the distance that he had put between himself and the others, one that was growing steadily in the last days. Miyuki had heard the whispers in the changing room that Chris had gone mad, had heard them but couldn’t do anything to stop them. It was not the fault of their clueless underclassmen that they couldn't see that Chris just couldn’t stand them because they had the one thing he wanted, but couldn’t have.

Miyuki sat down with his tray down and started eating. “Did you hear that Sawamura was late for the first training?” he said conversationally.
“I heard he wasn’t the only one,” Chris said monotonously, but there was a hint of a reproach.

Miyuki grinned. “It happens even to the best of us.” And he could have kicked himself right after, when something flickered in Chris’ expression. There and gone again.
To the best of us? Really? On the other hand, there was a reaction. There was something and Miyuki was damned if he let Chris slip through the cracks. He didn’t care about the distance between them, although it was Chris, who put it there. He would hold Chris anchored to him, even if getting to him meant crawling over the distance on his knees and then climbing over the invisible wall.

He had wanted to play against this guy again for far too long to let a measly injury enter the equation. It was like reversed gravity. The further Chris had gotten, the greater pull Miyuki felt. He knew that Chris got up in the morning before anyone to do stretching and strengthening exercises, because he wanted to play more than anyone, and as long as he did that, Miyuki could respect the distance between them, one that Chris put there, and wait patiently just this time, before he’d start cutting away from it. Their worlds had always revolved around baseball. It was where their collided too, their gravity too strong. As long as Chris was hanging on, he would be pulled back in. It was almost a law of physics, one that wasn’t taught, but Miyuki knew it, because over the years, he knew his senpai well.

I'm putting sport metaphors into another sport. Sportception.

***

Bases loaded, two outs, top of the ninth inning. They're in the lead, but only by one run. The air is electric. Takaya can feel the snap of it against his teeth.

The batter steps up to the plate. Takaya can't remember his name, but he knows that he prefers to swing at outside pitches, and tends to mistakenly swing at low balls. Facts and plans and strategy are all jumbled in his head. The tension on the field is suffocating.

Takaya looks up and he locks eyes with Mihashi. His partner has a smile on his lips, but after 3 years, Takaya can see the anxiety in the shift of his feet, in the slump of his shoulders.

Paradoxically, Takaya feels himself relax. Whatever the situation on the rest of the field, this is simple. It's just Mihashi pitching to him. It's a dance they've done a thousand times. And there's no better partner than Mihashi.

Takaya takes a deep breath. Signs "screwball, low ball" - one. Mihashi winds up - two. The smack of the ball into his mitt - three.

It's a familiar waltz. Takaya ignores the cheers of the crowd and focuses on Mihashi. The other boy stares back, now calm and centered.

Takaya takes the first step - "outside high fastball". Windup, two. Smack, three, the ball in Takaya's glove.

One ball, one strike. The batter scuffs his feet in the dirt and squares up.

One - Mihashi barely nods his head before - two - a beautiful windup - and then, three - the smack of ball into leather.

They breathe in time. Raise their gloves in perfect synchronization. Two balls, one strike.

Inside curve ball - one. Mihashi's arm whips forward - two. The batter swings - three - and misses.

Two balls, two strikes. The crowd's going wild, but it's white noise. Mihashi smiles. Takaya smiles back.

One, two - three.

Three strikes, and they've won.

Takaya has barely managed to get to his feet when a body slams into his and a pair of arms wraps around his neck.

He laughs into Mihashi's hair and grabs him by the hips. He swings him around and around in a different kind of dance

When Mihashi lifts his teary face from Takaya's shoulder, what can Takaya do but kiss him?

Their teammates dogpile them a moment later, and they break apart. "We won Koshien!" Tajima screams into his ear.

Takaya can still feel the impact of the ball into his glove and the ghost of Mihashi's lips against his. He reaches for Mihashi again - one. Mihashi reaches back - two. And - three.

"I solemnly swear that I’m up to no good."

With the needed words spoken and the tap of a wand, the map unfolded and revealed its contents.

The four boys, roommates and brothers in mischief, all crowded over the enchanted parchment and watched as the names of their peers appeared for them to see.

It was just yesterday when they found out their Care of Magical Creatures professor had some Cornish pixies. Knowing their chaotic nature, Terushima convinced the other three that setting them loose in the Great Hall during breakfast might make them miss some of their first class. The four did not want to go to potions first thing tomorrow. They shared the class with the Slytherins, and Kuroo was, without a doubt, going to end up bickering with Daishou. Daichi was willing to go sneaking around if it meant putting off that inevitable outcome, for the sake of his poor head.

“Okay, if we’re going to pull this off, we need to work together. Kuroo, we’re gonna need your knowledge on all things magical to learn how to subdue the pixies, if we end up needing to.” Daichi said, glancing at said boy.

Kuroo gave a nod and a sharp grin, “A Slowing Charm or a Freezing Charm would be best. When we take them, we should just freeze them ‘til we’re ready to let them loose, to prevent any escaping and causing havoc to us. Messing up and unleashing the pixies on ourselves would defeat the purpose.”

Bokuto let out a sound of awe from where he knelt next to his friends, impressed by the other’s quick solution.

“Bokuto, Teru, you both will need to be our lookout,” Daichi then said, “Not all of us can fit under the invisibility cloak anymore, not like we did in the past, but you two can. Just give us enough warning if someone’s coming, so we can hide.” The two boys in question both give a nod and playful salute.

“As for myself, I’ll do the Levitation Charm.” Daichi was the best at that charm, being one of the first to master it way back in their first year, back when they were still wet behind the ears and getting used to the unfamiliar world of magic.

“Sounds like a plan,” Terushima grinned at the others, “No one’s gonna know what hit them.”

With all the roles assigned, they spent the rest of their planning time mapping out the best and quickest route to the professor’s room, where they would steal the pixies later that night.

It was nearly one in the morning when the four boys crept out of the Gryffindor dorms. Bokuto and Terushima were in the front, hidden by the cloak with the map in hand, leading the way towards the old professor’s room while expertly avoiding the patrolling prefects. It wasn’t long before they reached the area the professor kept the magical creatures in.

With a quick Alohomora cast on the locked door, the boys found themselves inside.

All around them, creatures of all sizes and abilities slept. A couple of Mooncalves, nocturnal creatures, wandered around their pen, paying no attention to the Gryffindors. There were Diricawls, Knarls, and even a tank full of Grindylows in the corner. It was breathtaking, seeing all the animals, but they had to be quick. There was no time to stop and look at everything.

They sneaked past the slumbering animals, not keen on waking any up and causing a mess, and quickly found the cage filled with pixies.

"Immobulus!” Kuroo hissed out, quickly casting the spell on the sleeping pixies. If any happened to be awake, there was no way they could move now. Daichi stepped up next, casting a Wingardium Leviosa on the cage, and Terushima was quick to place the invisibility cloak over it.

“That does it. You got them steady, Daichi?” Terushima asked in a barely contained whisper, excitement glittering in his eyes just thinking about the mayhem to come.

He received a nod, and then they were on the way back to the dorms to get some sleep.

That morning, the four boys got up early and headed down to the Great Hall before the usual rush. It’d be just their luck if they went down at their normal time and ended up bumping the cage against another student. With that in mind, Daichi levitated the pixies’ cage, still covered with the invisibility cloak, down to the Great Hall as inconspicuously as he could, while the other three boys tried to discreetly keep an eye out for any possible early risers.

When they arrived, Daichi put the cage under the table between them, and began their plan of acting normal and eating breakfast. They couldn’t unleash the pixies when there was barely anyone there, after all.

And so, they spent the next ten minutes shoveling food in their faces, glancing at each other in impatient excitement as they wait for the Great Hall to fill up with students and professors. Daichi gave a subtle nod as soon as everyone seemed to be there, signaling to Kuroo to lift the freezing charm placed on the pixies. With the charm lifted, the cage began to rattle, the pixies eager to escape from their cage. Bokuto quickly grabbed the cloak so the mischievous creatures couldn’t take it, before opening the latch of the cage.

In an instant, the Cornish pixies swarmed out from the cage, emerging from beneath the Gryffindor table and flying around, cackling in delight at their newfound freedom. Panicked, students all around them screamed and ducked their heads, trying to shield themselves from the devilish creatures. A few Ravenclaws attempted to subdue them but were quickly overwhelmed by the sheer amount. The pixies took wands and picked up food, flinging them all around. A group even grabbed a poor Hufflepuff first year by the ears and began lifting them towards the ceiling, much to their dismay.

Terushima let out a loud laugh as a Slytherin got porridge dumped on their head, only to be hit in the face by a pancake.

“Food fight!” Bokuto yelled out in glee, taking a piece of toast and throwing it at another student. The student tried to retaliate, and chaos only grew.

“IMMOBULUS!” Dumbledore stood atop his chair at the teachers’ table, wand held high in his hand as the spell was cast, and the pixies froze in their tracks, floating around slowly. His eyes turned towards the four Gryffindors, almost as if he knew they were the source of the mess, and he smiled. “What a fun morning!” He said joyfully.

Besides him, the Care of Magical Creatures professor fumed, “What is the meaning of this?”

They were silent for a moment, before Kuroo spoke up for them, “Well, you know what they say. All’s fair in magic and mischief!”

It’s Father’s Day and we love our Dad Daichi

“Happy Fathers Day”

Father Daichi

It’s an tough job
We know
And you didn’t sign up for it
But you are the best fit
Teaching us from the right and wrong
Breaking up fights
And picking up our mistakes
You held us up
During the tough battles

Daichi we gave you the father role
And you are stuck with it
We value you
In every way
You keep our crazy team of
Birds safe and
make us fly

We got as far as we did
Because of you
You molded our team
Everyone individual
And
Everyone as an Team

Heart to Heart
Yuri/Viktor (Yuri on Ice)

At first we were
Simple Strangers
Living different lives
You were in the spotlight
While i was in the shadow
Thriving for the light
But then our Paths Crossed

But when I’m on The ice watching you
My chest feels tight
And I feel butterflies in my stomach
And it feels like my tongue is in a knot
But I can’t explain it
It feels like Love
But I know it will only and always be
One sided

And then it hits me it’s not one sided
When I’m on the ice
It feel it
I feel your heart
How it was when you were skating
So gracefully and beautiful
And I dreamed for that
But I realized
I already did

I feel your Heart in sync with my heart
And I feel our love equal
And I knew I was wrong
My love for you Viktor
Isn’t one sided
It never was from the beginning

“If I break”
Sousuke(Free!)(feeling towards Rin)

I’m gonna Break
I’m aware
And I’m willing to
I’m willing to for you
It’s the cost I’m willing to take
For us
I know you don’t want that
But I want to do it
For us

I’m not gonna heal
But we will break eventually
So I’m willing to take the risk
Because
Because I love you
I’m will to break

But if I break
I know
I know you will be there
You will be there and help me
And heal me
And love me

As we speak
If I break
Please don’t blame yourself
This is my choice
And my path
I decided
And
I love you
Always

“Swim Swim Swim”
Haru(Free!)

Swim
It’s all I know
And all I’ve thought about
Growing up
I’ve always lived in the water
During Swim season or
Constantly in my Tub
Enjoy the Water
Letting the soft gentle waves
Brush again my skin
And the crystal clear blue water
Reflecting in my eyes
I say It’s Heaven

No matter the season
No matter the day
No matter the mood
I’ll always Swim
Swim,Swim,Swim
Constantly flowing through my head
And I like it
The constant reminder of Swimming
And the constant feel of Water
I love it but others say I’m crazy

When the season comes and
I set myself up on the diving block
And wait for the buzzer to dive in
It gets my heart and blood going and
Thrills me
When I dive the hard rush of Water brushing into my face and the cold sensation
Going through my body
And my breathing picking up
It’s why I Swim
The whole reason why I am
Here today
Swimming

“In the End”

Hinata (Haiykuu!!)

I may be short
I know
I may not be as tall or Athletic as the others
But I try
I have the spirit and will power to fight as well
I work hard in the end
I stay late after practice
And work
But
In the End
Is that enough?

I don’t know I always wonder to myself
Will this all be enough
Will I be able to support my team
With how I am now
It’s these thoughts
That make me work harder
And reach the top
And support my team
That’s all I want
In the End

Slow and steady wins the race

But we started late, so up the pace

Trying hard and falling short

We’re fighting to stay on the court

My breath is fast, my temple pounds

I’ll scratch and crawl my way from the ground

Heart beats rapid, then skips a beat

We fell, we failed, taste of defeat

There’s no time to moan, no time to wallow

Take our bitter pill and swallow

Stand back up, tall and strong

We’re not out yet, we’ll prove them wrong

I may not be a flashy player

I make up the foundation layer

Support and strength, since I began

But I play with everything I am
