sportsfest | Remix Round

The remix round functions exactly like any other bonus round, only instead of using prompts, you create works based on other participants fills!

The remix round will remain open until August 31st, 2019 at 11:59PM PDT! [Countdown] This means you will have the entirety of the event, including a week after the other festivities end, to create remixes!

Please do not edit your posts during this time! If you post or edit a fill while comments are being screened, please use the comment unscreening form to let us know so we can unscreen it!

Rules

Choose a fanwork created for SportsFest 2019 and make a remix of it!
You cannot remix fills created by yourself or your teammates! You can, however, remix fills that were created for your or your teammates' prompts.
Since all fills are based on previous works, there will be no prompts for this round. Simply post your fill as a comment on this post.
You must have permission from the creator in order to remix their fills. You can use the Permissions Spreadsheet to easily find other participants' given permission, but if the type of fill you wish to create is not listed and/or you're not sure whether the creator would be comfortable with it, just ask!

I’m tired and it’s late and I have no idea what this is but I hope it’s okay xD

The end of the school year was interesting. Especially once the exams were over and the students finally had some space to breathe. After exams ended it meant there wasn’t long until the end of the school year. In this period of time, the boys’ volleyball team were practicing. Not volleyball as one might think, but for the end of the school year ceremony, Tanaka and Nishinoya had somehow managed to persuade the rest of the team to make a show. They had dragged the girls’ volleyball team to join them. The majority girls insisted that if they were to make a show, they should do Grease, and Tanaka and Nishinoya were both so hyped about that idea that they forgot any other ideas existed. They had appointed themselves as leaders, being the ones with the idea in the first place.

It would be impossible for them to do a full Grease show in the ten minutes together they had on stage. Even Tanaka and Nishinoya could both see that. So they all sat down and picked out their favourite Grease songs, making a playlist of them that fitted into the ten minute time slot they had. Originally it was only five minutes per club, but they had persuaded the principal to give them ten minutes, since they were two clubs joined together.

Volleyball wasn’t quite forgotten, Kageyama and Hinata insisted on making a dance routine that involved volleyballs. And they managed to fit it in well. It was decided that after the three third years, Daichi, Sugawara and Asahi, had introduced them and started the performance, Hinata and Kageyama would be in next, tossing a volleyball around whilst dancing. Next was Tsukishima and Yamaguchi, but Tsukishima wasn’t very motivated and didn’t do much, so instead it was decided that the two should dance in the background behind Hinata and Kageyama.

The second years were next, before they would hand it over to the girls to do the finishing show. Tanaka and Nishinoya acted out a scene directly from Grease, fitting to the music, and the other three joined in in the background, helping with the more difficult moves. After them, Kiyoko and Yachi would enter and dance their part, before the girls’ volleyball team took over.

Practice didn’t go too well at first. The space was limited, and it was difficult to match each other and the music without bumping into anyone or anything. The dress rehearsal the night before was rather charming, with half of the boys dressing up in dresses and skirts, and half of the girls were in tight pants, which made all the boys glare until Daichi went around and shook them back to reality. Everything came together well during rehearsal, except during the last run through of the performance, where Yachi managed to trip on the slippery floor beneath her and strained her ankle. Yachi was out of the performance, and the team fell into despair, for how where they going to be a complete team without her? It was decided she could join the stage in the end when bowing, but that didn’t fill the empty space in the middle of the performance.

Yui, from the girls’ volleyball team, was the one who offered. She offered to take over Yachi’s place, and then she would stay on stage and join her team after. After watching the performance practice many times, she was confident she could do the moves Yachi was supposed to. They retried the scene with Kiyoko and now Yui, and it went better than what was to be expected.

The next day was the day of the end of school year ceremony, and the two volleyball clubs, united as one, performed their Grease show without any problems or faults. As arranged, Yachi joined the stage in the end, red in the face as she was lifted by Daichi and Sugawara and ended up in the middle. The crowd applauded in delight at their performance, which had certainly livened the ceremony up, as they made their way backstage to return to their school uniforms and back to their spaces in the audience in front of the stage.

i cant get the image out of my head of a Grease musical number with the upperclassmen nailing the singing, kagehina throwing volleyballs around wildly on center stage for no discernible reason, and tsukkiyama in the background looking both bored and lost. it's too funny, im dying. thank you for providing me with this visual, it's perfect and so very karasuno
