People were hustling everywhere, the backstage managers dressed in black were giving out orders for last-minute preparations. In the meantime, the ones due on stage were in their dressing room, watching the time count down and waiting anxiously to get on stage, rechecking their outfits for the second, third, fourth time whilst waiting.
“Aaa, we’re going to rock this!” Sawamura punched his fist in the air in an attempt to loosen the anxiety that hovered over them as he stood out in the middle of the room, being the only one with a different coloured outfit. Unlike his teammates who had white outfits with a blue sash, his was the other way around. This was to make him stand out even more as the center of the group.
“Of course, we are, Sawamura!” Kuramochi replied in a voice just as loud as Sawamura’s, “Who do you think we are?!”
“We’re Seido, of course!” The loud voice and energy that came from Sawamura was keeping the mood in the dressing room light.

In the corner, Miyuki was sitting on a chair, one leg crossed over the other as he watched Sawamura in amusement.
“It’s not like you to hide by yourself in a corner,” Chris approached him, blocking the view of Sawamura.
“I just felt like it,” Miyuki shrugged.
“Are you nervous?”
“Who knows? Maybe I am,” Miyuki replied, looking up at the group member who was a year older than himself, “But even so, I’ll do my best out there.”
“I know you will,” Chris replied with a warm smile, “I’m counting on you to keep them in check. I’ll be watching from behind the curtains.”
Chris walked away, leaving Miyuki once again alone in the corner. Due to an injury, Chris couldn’t come on stage and had had to retire for the time being. He was still helping the group as much as he could, but Miyuki knew that it hurt Chris that he couldn’t join them on stage.

At that moment, tearing Miyuki away from his thoughts, a worker knocked on the door to their dressing room before entering. “You’re on stage in five minutes! We need to get you behind the curtains.”
“Right!” The team chorused, and they were soon busy with checking that their outfits were still in check, warming up their voices and making sure they hadn’t forgotten anything.

Backstage, just moments before they were due on stage, the group huddled around in a circle, all with their right hand on their chest.
“Miyuki, you start,” Sawamura said.
“It’s always me,” Miyuki sighed, before speaking in a loud voice. “Who are we?”
“The champions, Seido!” The rest of the group chanted back.
“Who’s shed the most sweat?”
“Seido!”
“Who’s shed the most tears?”
“Seido!”
“Are you ready for live?”
“Yes!”
“Then let’s go!”

The side curtains were held aside as the group ran on stage, getting met by cheers and applause from the audience who had been waiting eagerly.
“Sorry to keep you waiting!” Sawamura stood in the middle of the group as he spoke to the crowd. “We’re Seido and here’s our first song, A New Start!”
